Impressions/observations during the test drive:
The exterior design of the Sonet is nice and modern looking. Moving into the interior, the design looks durable, yet still good quality feel. It also has an infotainment screen in the front which is easy and responsive to inputs. When reversing, this screen shows the reverse camera which has a good quality. Like the techy screen, its RPM and speed gauges are also digital which makes this car up to date to today's time where most other new cars in this class has an all-digital driver's display.
The 4-cylinder engine of this car makes enough power and torque for casual city driving and quicker-paced driving as well. It is noticeably smoother than other vehicles' 3-cylinder engines especially at idle and slow driving, though. Power and torque are transferred from the engine to the front wheels through a CVT, which shifts smoothly enough in automatic mode and simulates gears nicely in sport and manual mode. The Sonet's steering weight is light but its responsiveness is still good. The accelerator and brake pedals of the car are responsive with inputs being received by the car reliably. Its brakes really stop the car well, which gives confidence to the driver.
