If you go to Kia service center and complaint, they will update the software. Otherwise, the software will get updated in the next service. The software update will keeps the RPM a little high in 1st and 2nd, even if you are not applying the accelerator.

I own a 1.4 turbo manual (petrol) and am facing quiet a big lag when moving in 1 & 2 gear in low rpm. 😡😡😡😡 This is a major flaw from kia

Upgrade new software i felt 2nd gear is better now and drivable on speeds below 10kmph

Get ECU software update from service center. They wont update ECU rom unless you tell them about rpm drop issue. This update changes throttle response.

Bought 1.4L turbo petrol MT. Not sure whether this is a problem with the 1.4L turbo petrol MT or this is as per the turbo design. Lag in 1 & 2 gear shift and vehicle just halt on a inclined road. Any fix for this

I have same car. First few instances I felt same...but after some clutch adjustment, I am feeling ok....but in inclined surface, 1st and 2nd gear without acceleration not possible to move....

After the update the issue is fixed 80%, once we adjust turbo driving will not feel lag
