Khutbah: Spiritual Purification of the Heart ~ Dr. Yasir Qadhi | 20 June 2014
The heart is the main organ of our spirituality and relationship with Allah, the Prophet (ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam) said, "Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather He looks at your hearts and your deeds." ~ [Sahih Muslim]
The worst disease than can afflict anyone is the hardening of the heart - a heart that holds grudges and does not enjoy the worship of Allāh (subḥānahu wa ta'āla).
What are the symptoms of a hard heart? What are the causes that make our hearts hard? ...and how do we cure our hearts and make them soft & serene?
Cleanse your heart and taste the sweetness of true submission, give your heart a much needed 'health check' and determine whether or not your heart is ready for the journey to meet it's Lord!
"The day that neither wealth nor sons will be of any benefit except for he who comes to Allah with a pure heart." ~ [Surat Ash-Shu`arā', verses 88-89]
