My story was like that but I am happy now...I have never been on Khumbulekhaya. My God helped me.

everytime i watch this program i have tears in my eyes. the seperation of families is the most divasting thing that ever happened to our people caused by system , cultures even by natuire. the mother is still under shock.

You can tell gore she is not ok. I feel like she probably learnt to cope by hiding how she feels. I feel like she is carrying a lot of pain but is unable express it. You heard gore the uncle of her children brought her back without the kids, took all her documents and never brought the kids as promised. Also the son did say gore if the uncle finds out that he found his mother he would kill him. It's very telling about what this mom and children were put through.

The woman in the first part of the video is cold hearted. There is nothing that can keep me away from my children, no amount of culture, customs, illness can separate me from my kids. I would have crawled out of that family dragging my kids with me. She doesn’t seem to care, just no emotion. Two of her children are dead and she doesn’t seem to care. I respect her uncle though. She did say she was mentally ill when she left them maybe she hasn't fully recovered. I think she is in shock. Also some people don't cry immediately when they hear someone has died. If you look into her eyes you can see gore otshwere pain ka mo pelong. Also I think she was allowing her son to have the space to cry and release some of his pent up emotions rather than making the moment about her.

It's the old slavery mentality of thinking you're only beautiful or handsome if you have a light skin. Hence a lot of our sisters are bleaching their skin to look white.
