if one traced the original Khorlim stream discharging water from the higher grounds smoothly in Mapusa river near Bodgeshwar temple the number of encroachments inside the natural drainage channel are shocking and unless these are removed there is very little scope for preventing this and either NGT or high court would have to intervene. I had brought the issue to WRD several times and still trying to find a permanent solution for full town according to the gradient and original drainage pattern but it's not going to be easy. In downtown Mapusa also landfilling of low lying land and wetland has created more water stagnation issue. It is correct not to concretize the bottom of the old Khorlim stream and WRD must go for soft bed so fifty percent water can be absorbed. Shekar Naik is doing very useful work to point out such issues impacting peace loving and hard working citizens in Mapusa who don't deserve this. I have forwarded this video to WRD

Vote for Kamal then such good work will be seen. And blame rain. The true is this that all drainage are choked field are made colonies. How water will go??? Whole goa the work is done is 3rd class. That now goa is getting flood and people life is in danger. Any dangerous thing can be happened, like house collapse, drowning.Tree falling etc. 😢😢😢😢😮
