those two lions were namely Ram and Shyam of which Ram died fee months back, I got an opportunity to see shyam on 31st jan, his right eye had an injury. Just love Gir.

This makes me so proud & THANKFUL to Buddhist/Hindu culture of tolerance towards other species as a Muslim. Everywhere else all lion habitats have been desoyed primarily by Muslims unfortuntaely.

I feel really proud of gir forest in India.

Yes you are right. I am from Gir area. Forest department of Gujarat are not so serious to prevention and conservation of Gir Lions which is Proud and jewelry of India.

I visited gir lately 1 month ago , when we crossed the jackpot to go to the diu , the lion doing his breakfast, and we saw him so closely , we were in the car , that is also the forest but when we go to the main forest of gir , we wouldn't found any lion there cuz we were too late , it's our luck to watch them ,but I m so proud of my home state (gujarat) people doing really great job . We were talking to some villagers there, they said lion is like their faithful person , who came to meet them everyday.

Your homestate is acting selfish by not sending Asiatic lions to other states in order to give them genetic diversity & save a population Wipeout which happened in 2017 when canine distemper killed 33 lions in a month so sad seeing gujurat govt. Behaviour
