same cooking..jst remove rice flour.. and add ragi. flour... its become ragi sankati.. telangana special..its heavy diet.. and energetic... we eat with any curry....😋

No it doesn’t. For ragi sankati first rice must be cooked. Then comes the ragi flour

In maharashtra we prepare same dish ,but we add little buttermilk with water,it is known as UKAD.we add ghee while eating it.

In Tamil nadu also we make morkali using rice flour and buttermilk using gingely oil lavishly...it should be consumed hot

it is made with corn or wheat flour in rajasthan and is called kheech
I add one tabsp curd to water while boiling... Gives sour taste... And my son loves it when I add onion n sev to it while serving along with pickle powder...

If you add Ragi flour Instead of Rice flour. It's a Ragi Sankati in Telugu states. But this recipe Amazing...
In TN a similar dish is made called, more kali with sour buttermilk and in Maharashtra, ukad.

Its not papdi no lot, its khichu :) In papdi no lot mixture of water and rice flour is taken away from gas, also water is less and den small portions of dough are prepared which must me steamed in cooker, and your papdi no lot is ready :)

In Maharashtra we call it as 'तांदूळाची उकड'.. we also use garlic in it . And mix rice floor with buttermilk...

Cumin seeds when boiled impart yellow color to the dish :)

It's so yummy, just use whole wheat flour instead of rice flour, in Maharastra it is called as Ukad Pendi, while serving we use Ghee, fresh coriander

@@LydiaApril there are many recipes, which can't modify, they have to make by its own traditional way, we Indian r food lovers. Our each state has different traditional recipes, and festival dishes as well.
A small correction: it's a Gujarati snack. not farsan.
