chane ki daal takes more time to cook, and if we try to do it like that the rice would became mashed and lentils would not get cooked properly my suggestion is to cook chane ki daal before rice and then follow the procedure.

No, it doesn't. Qabouli aise hi banti hai. (Delhi me is khichdi ko Qaboli bola Jata hai)
