Steve and Dave games are always great.

Despite my recent affiliations with Necrons i'm cheering for Kharn! :D Mostly due to reading the Betrayer Horus Heresy book right now and he's just awesome. And his Forgeworld model is so tempting.

Just as Steve said, in a real battle, Kharn would always win because nobody would put that specific wargear all together on a necron lord

You should try a Solitaire vs. Lelith Hesperax sometime.

um Dave! maybe you should add a stats window while you list his wargear and base stats. sure we can hear then but memorizing them for the entirety is a pain in the warbutt.

An overlord can be kitted out to kill Kharn at the same number of points without having redundant wargear, plus having an extra wound. Overlord, Edge of Eternity (or even just a basic Warscythe), Solar Thermasite, Phase Shifter, Gauntlet of Fire. 160 points total. The Warscythe becomes Str 8 and any wounds that get through Kharn's 5++ are Instant Death, while rerolling 1's on saves mathematically makes the Phase Shifter identical to the one from the previous book (4++ rerolling 1's = 66% save rate, 3++ no rerolls = 66% save rate).

I mean I think we can all agree that Kharn is a rare special character in that he's actually worth his points...

if he is in close combat he makes up for it in seconds, just dont get him shot .... by a laz cannon because he feels lonly and he dies :/

Is this even really a fight? Last one was Warriors vs. Plague Marines, and we knew who would win that. And now you're putting a crazy CC character against a 50 point model. I mean, come on...

Lotsa suggestions: Harlequin solitaire vs. 50 Conscripts Harlequin solitaire vs. Lelith Hesperax Drazhar vs. Karandras Fuegan vs. a Daemon prince 10 mandrakes vs. 50 Conscripts 9 Harlequins vs. 15 Wyches (3 wych weapons and hekatrix, 4 harlequin weapons) = EQUAL IN POINTS, I WANT TO SEE! All Phoenix Lords vs. either a lot of chaos-stuff or whatever set of heroes you want (but make it feel like the end of the world)

TheDjbz A lot of fights on Who Would win should have been quick... Kharn is likely dead if that one wound doesn't go through.

In a normal game, Kharn would have won because he's Kharn.

if you want someone from DA codex versus Kharn you should use Azrael. Or even Interrogator-Chaplain with Mace of Redemption, Conversion Field and some sort of pistol.

Karn is a pretty cool guy.

Pretty funny, I've taken some not so OP combinations of war gear before. Tacheon Arrows always either fail to hit or wound for me.

Technically Belial vs kharn would be unfair because most of belials points go into making deathwing troops and stopping deep strike scatter

Kharn is gonna win even though the necron Lord is very powerful

kharn hit necron lord on 2? I thought in 7e no matter how high your weapon skill is u only hit on 3+ at least. Plus for the record, I'd take Necron lord anyday, with voidblade, reserrection orb and phase shifter he's still only 160, equal to kharn but is way better except he doesnot have that S7AP2 one shot flamer.

its his war gear called gore child, it means kharn allways hits on a 2+, roll of 1 hits friendlys due to betrayer

Oh well, the Thermasite gives the Overlord/Lord a huge advantage against anything T4 without Eternal Warrior. RAW Wargear a Tachyon would have been really funny sniping Kharn from the other edge of the table
