The smell of death doesn’t escape the air.

It’s really funny bc you should go read the Russian to English translation of what he said after this. Unfortunately it went something like: “give me a rifle and I am happy to go fight in Palestine, I am happy to die for Allah” A bit contradictory, but he’s cleverly in an extremely tough situation.
