It's more from the Sunnah/Hadith, 2nd source from Islam (1st is holy Qur'an). Muslims usually have beard because all the prophets used to have them. This is one of the hadith : "Cut the moustaches short and leave the beard.". It's also verified hadith, there is no doubt. Many of the hadith that are written 1400 years ago are discovered right today by science. They knew in that time... And there are millions of people doubting the last holy book :) Just think
