An aerial view of Khampagar Monastery & Community, Tashi Jong (Auspicious Valley) which was established by 8th Khamtrul Rinpoche Dongyu Nyima in 1968. Nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas in Kangra District of Himachal Pradesh, comprises of Tokdens (Yogi), Monks, Nuns and lay people. Tashi jong is considered as sacred place of Manjushri (Tib: Jampal-Yang) and seat of Khamtrul lineage in India. Presently 9th Khamtrul Rinpoche Shedrup Nyima is looking after all the activities and development of Tashi Jong.
