There were Arnenian Cilician, Greek infantry Macedonian 5th,, Roman Infantry 5th legion, Byzantine infantry with heavy infantry called cataphracts. There were some elements from Europe as well I think. Their whole army was lead by Vahan. I saw a video about this war in kings and generals. History Marche also covered it. It was nice to hear the insights of the war from others perspective. They claimed that Muslim women also fought the Byzantines twice when the Byzantines almost breached the camp.

The army of Islam led by Khalid (ra) back then never lost a single battle that people/soldiers started to think that victory came from Khalid (ra) and not from Allah SWT - therefore, it was thought that they relied more on Khalid (ra) instead of Allah SWT for their victories. Allah SWT knows best.
