We are looking at EIGHT days of 93-105 degree temperatures, so WHY is the excessive heat warning just through the weekend?!! My Pearl District apt. building is (poorly insulated) brick, and the windows are S.-facing : I freeze in the winter, and fry in the summer. With every day of 90 degrees and above, my apt. becomes less habitable! Our terrible property management company has allowed the hallway temp. to remain at 76 degrees ; last year it was 78 degrees-and in the low 60’s during the cold months. (I could go on and on about P.M.’s incompetence, but not here and now.) This heat wave is a very scary thing to face, as a disabled Elder living alone! Especially as my A.C. re-install request has so far been ignored!

I wonder if we could vaporize with very very very fine nozzles all the water into the air then when the human made fog gets near fires start seeding it like mad...maybe the air can hold more water than the tanks if we can just get the water into the air. Big ultrasonic generators making vapor like those little guys on your desk? Cool vapor? Just keep vaporizing the water until you've literally drained the pond, then the whole pond must be in the air, right? There's gotta be a better way to get more water there, then when we finally understand the science of maintenance well enough to keep fires from pretty much happening at all we can stop trying to fight them and figure out how to make the fire do our job partially for us. I would much rather have fire that wants to happen anyway take care of all the random debris, pop seeds that need fire to pop while sterilizing encroachment, and make more biochar, faster, for the soils to build up on and decay into (biochar needs to be charged to grow stuff, by it's creation it doesn't have nutrients but can collect and hold an amazing amount of food and water, so you charge it with something plants/microbes can eat and their biomass generation turns it into legit compost/soil while stabilizing an area because it's mostly carbon and ashes).

Ask that question again when the temps are in the low 20's this winter! And your power goes out.
