I just roll solo evan, all shrine points into forge, followed by levels. You can easily afford usually a god staff and god bow on evan, buy a few level books, and get your evan to atleast gold, then he just 1 shots the whole screen with single aoe wave, or sometimes 2-3 waves if bigger golden statues.

You can get Insignia of Imperial Elite (Chapter 5, 7, 9) Mask of Hallucination (Chapter 9, 10)
