I had one and that is exactly what it tasted like, the chicken was fresh and a big piece so it was actually pretty good.....might have been and most likely luck.

greg my child with crippling bone marrow disease wasnt feeling great today, but after your video they chipped right up! immediately stole the family ute and went to kfc to get this burger, unfortunately they did crash and killed a couple in the process but he got out okay and we made sure to buy him his burger he rightfully deserves, thanks greggo!

I bought this yesterday and i think my local hadn't received the new crispy burgers as mine looked and tasted exactly like an original fillet burger. $7.95 for the burger is a rip-off but you can get this on the app with drink, small chips and potato and gravy for $9.95

"Original" ay? That looks fantastic! Remember a time not so long ago "lettuce" was in shortage. Lots of fast food places replaced lettuce with cabbage 😂 look at the size of that burger! Wow 😊 chicken + lettuce + pepper Mayo on a roll, winning! If you only ate x1 of these a day, you could still lose weight. Cheers Greggo P.p.s. look at that fresh green lettuce :) yum!

Hey, I work at KFC. The original crispy actually has no seasoning. It's just fresh chicken fillets chucked into crispy flour. Before, it was breaded up in seasoned flour. The mayo is new and I believe that has some seasoning on it now. Also, everything is double breaded except for the original chicken.

Tell ya what , old mate hungry Greggo might be a good swap for Craig Lowndes

Bit pricey for a basic chicken sandwich.

I’ve had two of these thus far and agree with Greg. The new version has way less taste than the original recipe. It doesn’t taste like KFC original chicken. I’m thinking this new version cuts down on ingredients to reduce unit cost price. The new version just tastes bland to me. unlike Greg, I’m not a fan. If the plan is to roll out this same recipe to the original chicken pieces then I guess I’ll just be getting hot and spicy only when I decide on KFC.

Yeah, this is just plain flour and crispy booster, no herbs n spices. So bland and not even crispy

Grego, i suspect KFC chicken was so much better in 20th century! Check out the chicken in old KZread videos and television commercials for them in Australia. Everything has been shrinking in size, decreasing in quality and increasing in price.

It literally says crispy burger. Is it crispier, because that's would be the only difference?

I was really hoping that "crispy original" would mean the crispiness of hot'n'spicy with the flavour of original recipe.

GregO it has the same breading as Crispy Strips and would be breaded up in the same breading as the zingers are. If that doesn't sell well then they will bring back the original fillets.

Could you taste the herbs and spices back then? Sure can't these days. The pieces were definitely bigger back then going by the commercials.

That’s a zinger fillet in original recipe flour that’s the spice you can taste

No point comparing prices these days since they're all insanely expensive ripoffs. The point of reference should be when fast food was reasonable priced. Quarter Pounder meal used to cost $5 which was perfectly acceptable for JUNK food
