Alright so simple fix, go into the search bar next to the windows logo search "control panel" open it. In the top right corner in the search bar search "keyboard" click on it it should take you to keyboard properties now you should see key repeat speed. Slide it to the left so it says slow and apply. Then restart your computer.

For those of you having this issue: I had the same problem. I had Norton Security installed (Anti Virus software that runs in the background) It was causing insane input delay. Closing it was not enough but after uninstalling it it fixed it. Maybe other Anti Virus softwares cause the same issue. Hope that helps.

For the people who've come to figure why this happens, nothing i do fixes it. Its not an internet problem, and the most probable explanation is my cpu being on deaths door way. Ive learnt through this comment section and research that optimising your computer to do the absolute minimum is the best chance you have. Im talking about getting rid of widgets, nearly all unnecessary background programmes, not useing multiple google tabs or having many shortcuts. Ive also learnt that putting the program your trying to use on efficency mode can potentially get rid of keyboard lag; but most commonly sacrificing frame rate as a result (5-10fps for reference). Anyone whos trying to fix it, there are tons of solutions for non cpu related issues; but when your computer might as well as be powered on lemons and wired with raw plastic: theres no point in updating your BIOS, getting a new keyboard or something like that. If youre as sick of it as I am, i suggest you start saving for a pc thats not trying to kill itself. Dont burn money on a new cpu or repair service unless youre desperate. It is genuinely surprising how such a clown of a laptop ever made it to the market

This happens to me and I just got my laptop and it has a 3050 laptop GPU with an Intel i11400 and Internet like 150mb per second but it only happened over Roblox and no other game

@@greatfullylive2127 the only thing that moderately helped me was setting the repeat speed to slow in keyboard properties (in the control panel)

if your keyboard is wireless dont have bluetooth on it messes it up bc it try to connect to the keyboard i just fixed it rn so try that hope this helps

I think it also happened to me. When i hold the W key for a while to move, and when i don’t hold it, it automatically moved for 2-3 secs in game (Also happened in every games, not only Roblox). Don’t know if your problems are similiar to me. Hope someone understand this problem.

It’s either your keyboard (the cable) or just turn your computer on and off. If this does not work, ask your parents for a new keyboard

I have the same problem, I used the control panel and it still happens, like the delay is. 1 to 3. Seconds, I can’t even play Roblox fast paced games if the keyboard just delays, every time it works as soon as I’m in the middle of battling or smith, it delays and forces me to die

i had this problem, i solved doing this 1-open your task manager 2- look for a HP/OMEN software running on the background 3- try closing it 4- if the problems stops, uninstall the HP/OMEN software, it is not needed for your system 5- if the problems continues it is probably your CPU crying for help.

Sometimes it happens because you're downloading stuff

My fix : this is caused due to high recourses hsed by roblox. If you turn down the priorty of rovlox in task manager it will limit the recourse usage, fixing the issue

I've tried this and the keyboard lag does subside a little, the frame rate becomes the new problem and roblox starts working on the verge of death, so I end up at 10fps

If you have high latency it can happened but if you have good latency but still delayed your ram or cpu has high usage or your type speed setting might be slow

right click the windows icon, click on device manager. then click on keyboard, right click your keyboard model and press install updates, if this doesnt work idk :/

same things been happening to me, it sorta stops after i either keep my Roblox running or just play through the delay its so annoying though I've looked on google and read like each and every one of these suggestions nothing really worked all though, Ghostyz suggestion worked for about and an hour and a half, than the delay started again. the problem is the temp i checked it and my cpu was at 90 degrees what you need to do is get a laptop stand so that the air under can cool it and play withthe laptop pluged in so it cools better happened with me it fixed it.

thats input lag which you laptop cant process it so i would recommend you turning off the autographics to manual and low graphics

I got the same issue, idk if it's because my computer is slow or bad but i have that issue and it's so annoying. this issue sometimes gets so bad, that the games I play aren't even playable!

Try to disconnect your key board and restart your computer and then connect the keyboard back and if that doesn't help then that lag should be normal because you don't hold the w you are strumming the w

i had the same problem, what i did was apparently roblox's engine cant handle more than 125Hz, so if you lower the Hz, then you shouldnt have the lag anymore but you will still be a bit laggy.

@@gatausiapav4078 i think you can only lower it with a customizable mouse. I dont think an office mouse would work. But if you do than just use whatever you use to customize it and look for the Hz.

I FOUND THE ISSUE LMAO! Click start, and in its search bar type ‘hp system event utility’ then uninstall it and you should be set.

So I had the same issue recently, I saw that lots of people were saying that its because of the CPU being 100% but mine was pretty much normal and I still had the issue, I just turned off my laptop for about 20 minutes and it seems to work fine so maybe try that I guess?

Alr so i know im late but i know how to fix this shit basically disable all animations on your laptop then go to system configuration boot advanced options then tick the number of processors and select the maximum amount that will boost your fps and your perfomance

everytime i join a server with people it delays but when im in a private or when im in a 1v1 it doesnt delay so its probably just processing

Maybe because you have any apps open causing it to lag you only need 1 app running while playing a game but it depends what game your playing

I was having keyboard lag while playing genshin impact and I had tried everything nothing worked now only thing that worked for me was that I had MSI afterburner running for FPS and CPU temp monitoring and when I closed that app while playing genshin my keyboard lag problem fixed , whenever I let MSI afterburner run in background my keyboard lags in genshin , this is not a problem while I play GTA 5 , only with genshin , you can try exiting some software and then see if it fixes your keyboard lag

Bro i had the same problem but with a different story. So when i got my very own laptop I immediately wanted to play roblox. The keyboard was very responsive But when I joined the game i immediately noticed it. Everytime i press a god dam key it takes 4 seconds to respond. I was so confused but i thought it was a glitch. I load up minecraft it does the *same* glitch. I tried looking up in youtube on how to fix it, nothing worked.. I tried reinstalling windows, didn’t work. I cant fucking play with my any of my friends because of this shitty ass laptop keyboard. I thought i was the only one but I realised other people are having the same experience. We all need a solution to fix this problem.

I've started to look through performance stats, next time you open your computer, search for the task manager app and tell me what percentage your CPU is at. The higher the worse or so I've been told, I'm averaging 100%

@@xGoFys I haven't settled on an actual cause yet. My main guess is that the CPU on our computers/laptops are too high (because I'm averaging 100% cpu whenever my keyboard won't listen to me). If you have the time, open task manager or press (windows key + g) and tell me what percent your cpu is. I don't know if we have trash computers or if the servers are bad on whatever we play on, but I seriously don't know what to do.

High cpu usage go to your task manager and if its on 100% thats whst it causes the delay

This bug is happening Roblox is running out of sounds on every device. When you use the mic on your keyboard, it don’t make any sound in Roblox have to shut your mike keyboard down.

Do the control panel fix or I think there is a problem with the motherboard of they keyboard since it is so cheap

We both know that the problem is a nightmare to fix. I still haven't come to a conclusion on how to end it. I have no idea how but I've begun to suspect it has something to do with my internet; do you have "bad" internet aswell? If so, please notify me so I can identify where the delay comes from. And you should probably try what ghostyz said; it brought my delay from 5+ seconds to 3 and below

Because when i play Minecraft bedrock on Windows 10 version on my laptop, its work totally fine with no problem, but when i upgraded the windows 10 to 11, my keyboard got pretty mess up.
