Never thought of using vMix as a graphics generator into an ATEM mixed stream - very helpful and clearly explained.

I just implement this a week ago. It works like a charm. All my graphics are generated in vMix key & fill to Blackmagic constellation

on 3:20 in color>transparant it is better to see a gray checkerboard pattern instead of a black background so you know the input is a transparant input.

A few months ago, I was struggling to find a tutorial for creating the key and fill. However, I persevered and managed to create them by trying different methods until I succeeded.

I've used a few times vmix as a title input and it works beautifully. One thing I would add that altough you are only using external 1, external 2 is technically in use as well and you can't use it differently.

Using 4k Extreme, key out is shifted to the right in HD, but aligned properly with fill out in SD.

Does anyone know if the Blackmagic UltraStudio 4K Mini is supported? I see the HD Mini is, but the half-rack 4K version isn't explicitly listed. Was hoping to use this for both key / fill out on the SDI outputs, my ATEM TV Studio Pro 4K feed on the SDI input, and possibly make use of the HDMI input - does vMix support this many simultaneous I/O on this device?

@@robertgrafe8775 been successfully using the UltraStudio 4K Mini for a few months for overlays now. I can also add an input in vmix for the ATEM clean output over SDI, but not that I've needed that.

I use vMix for youtube streaming.. Can I use different externals at the same time to send titles to ATEM and continuous streaming main video from switcher? For example if I want to switch on/off titles on ATEM not on vMix..? I'm using DeckLink DUO 2 card with ATEM Constellation HD 2 M/E

Key out position is wonky in HD with 4k Extreme, SD works fine.

Iam using avi video as a animation throw overlay...every hour i will play 1&2 times. it's difficult me every time i will chaning milliseconds in overlay settings, Is there any overlay setting that avi video will automatically stop(disappeare on screen) when the duration of the avi video is complete?

If you use your vMix Output via HDMI without an decklink card

Can we just send the key title graphics with transparency and not the fill? So that it’ll just be 1 SDI input into the ATEM? 😅

Isnt easier to use the atem as a web cam camera source into vmix?

The 8K Pro is wired differently to their other cards. It will technically work with Key/Fill but will use up your whole card for that purpose alone. With the Quad 2 and Duo 2 you can use 1 channel for Key/Fill and then use other channels for inputs/outputs.

Nowadays I have a different workflow but I´ve done exactly that in this production: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qJ5qs8aFlNncp9o.html Now i tend to use the Input directly connected to the external output so I still have the Main Output for VT Playback.
