    Does anyone know if Kewtec have a form fill software? When you store the tests on the KT66DL can you transfer them automatically to a certificate or will I still need a separate certificate software? TIA

    I don’t think it has any Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or hard wired connectivity which would be needed to transfer the results.

    Is it possible to use other manufacturers evse adapters on different brands if mft?

    Yes, absolutely. I have a Metrel I use with Megger, and then I use the Kewtech stuff interchangeably with these as well. The socket on the EVSE testers is just a 3 pin so this can be used with any MFT and it’s kettle lead.

    I have the KT65DL, is it worth me buying the 66 or can I just use mine with the EVSE adaptor and do same job? ta

    It will just do the same job I think. I’m not sure of the specs on the 65 but it might be missing some ev specific tests such as the 6mA dc leakage (eg the specific Type A RCD tests, but these aren’t specifically required by the regs at the moment, and looking at how the regs are moving I don’t see this being an issue going forwards.

    Hey, can you update on battery life? I really like the look of this tester and thinking of buying one. I had some concerns over the battery life because of the nice LCD screen.

    Yeah, with daily use the battery lasted about 4 months so I was well chuffed!!!!

    I think if you were doing EICRs all day, this might be different, but I was really impressed.

    I thought the meter would have to find its own way out of the box.

    Can you tell me is your Megger a 1741+?

  • @MorzakEV

    @MorzakEV

    No, the megger is the 1741. The + hadn’t come out when I bought it (it was the latest model at the time! I’m old). That’s one of the reasons for buying the Kewtech so we can test type B and A RCDs and 6mA DC leakage, for fault finding etc.

    @@MorzakEV I’m pretty sure the megger can be sent in for free upgrade to the plus and they will calibrate it also
