I agree, the more voices we have the more people realise that most issues go both ways. In this day and age people have the toxic mindset that men can't be raped, molested and abused etc. They tell them to "man up" just like the other comment on here. We need to realise that we are all human and stop thinking of issues being gender tailored, because in most instances they apply to men and women.

As a victim of the same thing with my 17 year old half sister and me being 4 to 5 Years old I totally understand everything he is saying. Everything he said was EXACTLY how it felt. Both during and the issues that have stemmed with it afterwards to this day. His stories literally bring me back to when this happened to me. The depression, anxiety and distrust in women growing up. I really do wonder what my life would have been like had this not happened. I only wanted to share that this happened to me so that people that see this maybe have another example that they are not alone. For the longest time I thought I was. It was another reason I kept It bundled up for a long period of time.

Joe Rogan did a bit on this. He called it the sexual inequality of child molestation. Basically, it is different for most men. When you hear about a grown man molesting a 14yr old girl, it's disgusting. The first thing that comes to mind is: Those men should be shot. But when you hear about the female teacher who blows a fuse and decides to suck off her entire 8th grade class, as a man only 2 things come to mind: 1) where was she when I was in school!? And, 2) which one of those little bastards told their mom? Like Joe kept saying, when he was 13 and it happened to him, it was awesome. Joe kept justifying this guy's experience must have been bad because it's his step mom. But I guarantee you Joe's thinking of his bit the entire time, lol. 1;52 kzread.info/dash/bejne/aHiKqLiJebW-ZsY.html

@@soulife8383 Well experience is relative. That's for sure. No pun intended. It also has to do with how society sexualizes girls and boys long before we are aware of what sex really is or how serious it can be. A lot of things seems fun until you take a moment to think about what really happened later in life. Then you see how messed up that really was and how it was something you probably shouldn't have been doing.

Thank you for sharing. I was molested by my uncle and my mom swept it under the rug and it stayed hidden. Telling me to just not to allow myself to be alone with him. My aunt her brother helped me by taking me to the police so I could press charges and he went to jail. I was able to somewhat take control of the situation and that helped me but it still messed me up for a long time. Alcohol and promiscuity was my bandaid. Now I rarely drink and no longer need a bandaid. I do not hide what has happened to me and I am not ashamed of it. Wish it had not happened as it broke apart all of the family on my dads side but oh well. No loss there. Bringing this out of the darkness gives the victim the power to heal. Thank you again and I am sorry you had a shitty step-mom and dad. Every child deserves to have someone who will stand up for them and protect them.

I cant believe i am saying this but here goes. I am nigerian, i live in the uk now. When i was a kid in nigeria between the age of 3 to 6 years old. I was sexually abused by a female babysitter. She was a teenager then. Its among my earliest memories, she also introduced me to pornography as well and it became such an obsession that i got into a lot of trouble growing up trying to aquire porn, like stealing stealing my aunts laptops when my mum hid mine so i can get access to it. When i told my mum about the abuse, guess what she said, because i am a guy i should be happy, a lot of guys would have wanted that action as such a young age. Years Later she explains to me that tge reason she told me that was because she did not want me to dwell on it and let it affect my life (too late). I love my mum, she is actually more modern than most african parents, she has since apologised about what she said, i was 18 yrs old when this happened. I am 28 yrs old now, trying to get therapy for a porn addiction that saw me miss lectures and not graduate due to wasting hours of my life downloading and viewing porn. I have a gd job now and i am doing a lot better in life, just regretting the wasted yrs. It makes me sad sometimes you know. My emotional/sexual issues resulted in me losing someone i loved and hoped to marry after a 4 year relationship, i cheated on her, by sexting other women multiple times (scumbag i know). For her that such of cheating is as bad as having sex, especially due to her being more sensitive cause she suffers from depression. I tried to stop sexting but i couldnt, it was a cheap thrill for me and it has cost me a lot,my ex is a wonderful human being. Due to my obsession with porn and masturbation over the yrs i dont get any pleasure through penetrative sex, part of why i chased fantasy sex via sexting. My point is bro you are not alone, good luck.

It may be more like she just didn’t know how to handle it, or she just didn’t want to deal w it. As time has passed, & understanding more about sexual abuse, I think that my mother was abused, herself. I know that she would never admit that to me, if I asked her directly. I felt this on so many levels, I didn’t realize until now at 25 that experience mine was with a sister and I was like 9 but it kinda shapes you and it definitely showed in my behavior. I never really spoke about it either until last year because i didn’t understand why I was acting the way I was acting I don’t know if it was a repressed memory or what but all these feelings hit me at one point and I could literally see myself back in that situation and it sent me spiraling out of control and I got into a bad place and several unsafe situations. It definitely doesn’t help when you try to treat those feelings with drugs and alcohol it makes them stronger. When you talk openly about it with someone you trust it’s healing it’s weight off your shoulders. I appreciate him sharing his story 100% hopefully I can follow his path and become the person I needed when I was younger.

It’s ok Kevin I was molested by my adult babysitter (40+ Year old woman) off and on for a year when I was 8/9 years old. I buried it for a long time but it (your mother figures abuse) wasn’t your fault and it’s ok to be angry and to feel violated because you were. It has stunted my ability to love and let people get close it obviously broke something but I’m sorry to say I haven’t found any relief seeing psychiatrist or anyone else.. but it does help to hear other stories and share my own the few times the subject comes up. I do try to look at some positives I attribute to surviving.. it has definitely made me more resilient to lives challenges and given me nearly unlimited determination when I hear about someone being abused and trying to help them.

My alcoholic mother abandoned me at 14 for a summer so she could live with my step dad (he didn't want kids around) I lived at my brothers apartment by myself for 6 weeks. Her drinking was awful and I'd had to deal with it since I was 4, so I actually enjoyed the peace to begin with, but in hindsight it wasn't normal. 20 yrs later I'm single, live on my own, unemployed rn but keeping positive. My mum and step dad till drink and argue, they're in their 60s... i rarely drink now, glad I realised at a young age how alcohol destroys people & relationships. Male childhood abuse is real. Massive props to this guy for speaking up. When i was 4 years old, a man we had hired to help us with housework, used to take me into a room and sexually abuse me. Only when i told my mom in a vague manner(i dont remember what i told her), did my parents find out and obviously get rid of him. I am 24 now, studying at a good school and getting close to graduating with much to be grateful for, but i've been thinking about this in detail for the last few weeks. Im honestly so lost and confused. The more i think about it, the more my mind sort of blocks and cant get itself to think about it more. There is no way i can bring myself to talk about this to anyone..not yet at least. Its easier to type things out anonymously(this isn't my real name) over a youtube thread. I can recall 5 or so instances of absolute predatory behaviour from adults when I was around 13-16 from both men and women. I was always pretty wide to the world though. Badly broken home, early substance abuse and a lot of promiscuity, you start to know what people’s are intentions are. Even a teacher in my secondary/high school drove me home one day at the end of the school year and we sat in her car smoking cigarettes. I know now what she was about and what she was after. She’s the principle now.

No good. A step mother is someone you're supposed to be able to trust and turn to when for one reason or another your biological mother couldn't be there. Having been taken advantage of at such a young age must be tough as shit. Also goes to show rape goes both ways.

Because dude doesn't care about older women abusing young men, he has said many times get over it pretty much. Definitely doesn't care when it happens to males for whatever reason.

You don't know Joe's intention in doing that. You're guessing it is for selfish reasons, I'd bet that's not true. I'm guessing it was to make him feel less alone, and continue to feel ok opening up, and you'll notice it relaxes his guest.

They can disagree, doesn’t mean that it pressured the guest or made his experience irrelevant
