Great interview, still play 10cc music everyday because these guys were so talented. Was devastated when they split.

This is a great interview. I’ve heard the bones of what Kevin talks about here many times, and have had the pleasure of interviewing him myself on a few occasions. But he gives a bit extra here and brings a new emphasis to familiar material. He’s one of the most creative people of the past fifty, no sixty years. BTW the movie comparison he usually reaches for in discussing Consequences is Heaven’s Gate. But who knows, he might mean something else. Thanks again for the interview.

The man is a legend one of the original artists of the 70s but not forgetting what all of 10cc pioneered in that little studio of Stockport long before mixer automation and computers that now play a loop with a mouse click just check out the documentary of the making of I'm not in love , they covered so much in so little time and Kevin with lol cream also became pioneering film and video director's, what a how about that on your CV

I'm a big 10cc fan and I've seen them live, Then I met Lol and Kev when they were in Los Angeles trying to sell their "Gizmotron"... They weren't the nice guys. A couple of smart asses really.

Awesome interview 👍🏻 "One Nuit a Paris" is one of the most unusual tracks ever to appear on a rock album but it's still so awesome after nearly 50 years. "Five O'Clock In the Morning" floored me when I first heard it back in the day, still love it.

All of the original members of 10cc were each so incredibly talented. As a group, the talent was many, many times that of individual members. No band has had the sound, the clever lyrics, the humor. They were funny, they were serious, their lyrics were poignant. They were an alternative band with pop hits. If only they hadn't split.

Great interview. Just live 10cc and all the guys. Big fan of Godley/creme. Stewart, Graham, Lol and Creme. ❤

The film KG mentioned must be Heavens Gate. Now I understand why Godley and Creme songs are so cinematographic specially on ISMISM, which also applies to most 10cc songs, it must be this mindset mixture of visual and sound art! For us teenagers late 70s 10 CC were the new Beatles with each song a complete story of its own and a work of art and we never understood the break up of such an insanely talented band!

That was top x Cool dude. Consequences' Ive had it since the late 80's even then i thought it was a million light years ahead of its time. And the writings within, man they are so relevant today. It certainly had an influence on my musical life and journey x

The unedited "Girls on Film" for Duran Duran is one of the best music videos ever made.

I loved Consequences, but did not want the loveable Peter Cook within the brilliant songs so l re-taped it. All this time later it is still a selection of great songs.

Kevin is not remembering it correctly: 'I'm Not In Love' was out five months before 'Bohemian Rhapsody'. Easy mistake to make though, many moons have passed since 1975.

Kevs getting on a bit, almost didn't recognise him..legend

The film he's talking about at kzread.info/dash/bejne/lJVnzqaenZWYgqQ.html is probably Sorcerer, which came out the same week as the first Star Wars movie.

A sidenote to Kevin, the whole band is still alive if you could put feelings aside, you guys could come and tour America sell more T-shirts than ever before and finally make some money. So many bands have lost a member and can’t be an original anymore.
