as a college kid who has always been told he's gifted and highly intelligent, I relate to him. I've been arrested, sent to rehabilitation therapy, kicked out, suspended and attempted suicide. just because you are intelligent doesn't mean you don't have street knowledge. what he spits is a form of knowledge brought about by a hard life and struggles with depression.

This is one of the more surprising interviews I've seen with him. What can I say about him? He's introspective, insightful, eloquent, and honest all wrapped in a veneer of raw transparency. What you see is what you get, but who would've guessed about his bouts of depression and his willingness to share that with the whole world? I admire him for his realness and his outlook on life. It kills me when people expose their insecurities online by trying to invalidate his intelligence and world views. Look how easy it is to be threatened by somebody who doesn't even know you! Get some self-esteem...

He's looking for happiness in the wrong places. Yes music is a great outlet but he won't be truly satisfied until he looks to God for love, happiness, peace, etc.. Once he does that i GUARANTEE you his will be made whole, his career will be elevated, amd blessings will fall out the wood work.

Wow, game recognize game and he got game. He had her eating out the palm of his hand from the word go. He is what we used to call "a ghetto professor". He can read you, he looks like he isn't paying attention but he is reading your body language and tailoring what he is saying to what you want to hear. Just like some of the greatest orators in history, he knows how to tell you what you want to hear without it sounding fake. Big ups brother.

Kevin is a true, genuine, open hearted rap artist. He speaks the words from his heart and has really lived every word that he speaks. He dont care about getting rich, he done made it. Out the mud. I truelly believe he is one if not maybe the best rap artist ever. Its not just about how you rhyme, its how you fit the words your speaking. Would love to meet Kevin Gates. Hes lived it and painted a picture of lyrics about it.
