I'm from the so called "HOOD" and this a misconception of what a so called Hood dude is 1- regardless of where someone is from or raised it don't completely define who that person is or how they react to a situation or the level of their emotional intelligence 2 - the hood can not make you masculine or nothing of sort it only damage your perception and can cause corruption due to poor parenting and lame mental concepts it's a diverse group of people in the hood to say the least we are not one . Damn this one brought a tear to my eye, as someone who has grown up getting physically and emotionally abused all my childhood and still having those emotional scars and seeing the effects it has had on me everyday this song hit me hard. I haven’t enjoyed my childhood and I have fought to get through school so I can get my diploma and be out of my parents house with my education away from ticking time bombs and just ongoing chaos in general at what is supposed to feel like home but doesn’t. Every time I’m around them I’m constantly looking over my shoulder, Its gotten to the point where I crack and peek in the door now before walking in.

That's not healthy. You will never be able to grow and learn to love yourself. I was in the same situation, I had to realize that just because these people are my blood relatives doesn't mean they actually care about me and I had to go no contact. It was the best decision I've ever made and it takes time to heal from that kind of situation it was hard at first but every day is getting easier and I'm growing more and more as a person in a way I was never able to before.

This is so dope mane I just got custody of my kids in april after their step sibling was beat to death by my kids mom he had 60% bruising to his body and subdural hematoma in different spots with multiple pools of blood. As Bad as I feel for the boy that passed away I feel so thankful that all of my kids are still here. Even though CPS and the department of human services is a joke and is letting her see them twice a week pushing for a third. I will keep fighting to minimize their mom in their lives so they can stay safe with dad. I appreciate music with a message
