Did that reporter say empathetically, or emphatically? Because thise are two very different words. Edit: I found the quote on ESPN. The word used is Emphatically, meaning: "In a forceful manner; with emphasis.". Not empathetically, meaning: "In a way that shows an ability to imagine how someone else feels.". The reporter used the correct word and phrasing. The "I don't think he was very "empathetic"." text in the video isn't the correct word that was used.

You are 100% correct. I absolutely misread that and it now makes way more sense. Thank god. I actually do know the meaning of both, though I appreciate you taking the time to type them out. 😊. Some days I am just absolutely slammed and don’t proof read as well as I should, that was my mistake and I own it.
