Good stuff. Any time I'm hunting, scouting, or even just hiking, I bring along a 5x7 silnylon tarp, new mylar sheet, and a ferro rod. Boring, yes, but they have saved my bacon several times.
Mike!!! He says to give it ALL to him.
Coming in here to support fieldcraft
Kevin and Gränsfors axes? Take my like!
I have a Scandi Forest axe - its a thing of beauty and has an ergonomic feel unlike any other GB.
Praying for the family Life has its ups and Downes For everyone Mike hope to See you soon

I'm still here and doing my thang
Nice stuff
I used to have a Garmin Foretrex 101 back in the day, and it was perfect for what it was, but I don't know what happened to it. I either gave it away or sold it or misplaced it, never to find it again. I imagine the newest generation units are much better.
I am an axe guy and love the Bruks axes, love to know your thoughts on bushcraft saws. Not going to lie, I really like the Gomboy and Silkys
Could you link to the EarPro you were talking about?
Pollock lol 😂 I’m half pollock 😂

Yeah, I realized after the fact. The heat got to me or I just had a brain fart. It is a Tilley hemp hat. Been with me since 2014.

I'd sure like to see more on that old knife.

Is something going on with Mike and/or Fieldcraft?
👍
Good stuff Kevin. You asked about gear that makes us smile…I have a Randall knife, #3 with a 6 inch blade. Had it for decades. It’s been everywhere in NorthAmerica and several foreign countries. It’s heavy by today’s standards and I bit long. I don’t care. It has great steel and been a great field companion. I have put it thru the ringer and it has carried the day more than once. So I’ll continue to carry it in the field.
You never mentioned the hat ?

I know, I screwed up. It is a Tilley hemp hat I've had since 2014. These videos are one take kids and I occasionally have a Biden moment.
Great stuff Kevin. God bless your team and Mike's return!
Funny 🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What's the future of FieldCraft Survival look like??
Hey Kevin on page 80 in the magazine backwoods survival guide issue 26 the figure 4 dead fall you made is wrong scary to know you're teaching this when lives depend on it to be accurate

@@kevinestela4881 your diagonal stick is way too short and the log is going to come down on the upright not sure why you're lying there's no way that that trap works and someone else in the comments section agrees with me

@@ricksolomon2448 It's funny. Plenty of students have seen this work in person so perhaps they didn't see what you're talking about or maybe you're incorrect and trolling. When the horizontal trigger stick is fired, it releases the diagonal and the way it is carved, it sends the rest of the trigger out of the way of the weight. I'll put up a video, prove you are incorrect, and maybe you'll acknowledge it does in fact, work. The truth is coming and I'm confident in the design. Maybe you'll come out of anonymity of a faceless account and join the world offline. Or, more likely, you'll continue your troll ways. Whatever you decide, I'll continue showing skills that work in courses with people who will get actual training in person.
Ooo

Still supporting Mike and his family, they man and woman could’ve fked up, who knows, not me, doesn’t make field survival craft any less awesome, doesn’t negate mikes worth or his wife’s, shit does happen and I’m not trying to be “judgy” because I’ve been there and I didn’t do anything wrong so…
