It's so great to see how kind they are to each other. So complimentary of each other's work, no ego whatsoever.

It’s incredible to get to witness them going through the issues together and heart warming to see the way the speak to and about each other and their work.

It’s what you’d hope all creative partnerships could become.
Feels like Christmas in February. Thank you Kevin, Peter and Cartoonists Kayfabe!
I'm strangely emotional watching this video. Kevin and Peter's friendship and their love of comics is really touching. Thanks for making this happen
Kevin talking about the old "Never meet your heroes" quote, but meeting him at NYCC last year was a dream come true. Really great dude. Some people get the scoop, but you guys got the full ice cream sundae here. Amazing.
My God. IS this the one of the greatest records of comics history!? LOVE it.
I love how these videos are two fold in that we are getting gold from Kevin and Peter, but also how they are just enjoying themselves and each other. Fantastic job guys! Can't wait to see more.
I heard this was like seeing Bill and Ted meet their older selves in Bill And Ted Face The Music, and that is absolutely correct!
These Eastman & Laird interviews have been fantastic. Looking forward to the continuation. Thanks Jim & Ed for bringing the quality content.
Amazing seeing late stage Kirby doing TMNT! I audibly "WHOA'ED!" lol
Please bring them back on! These episodes are some of my favorites you guys have done! LONG LIVE THE KAYFABE
First time I've ever woken up and been excited for a KZread video to drop. I could listen to these two talk turtles all day. If this becomes a regular thing I would be ecstatic. There's magic in those pages and in hearing the legends dive into them.
Loving these videos. Hope to see more of these TMNT comic retrospectives with Eastman & Laird, or even some of the guest writers/artists if you can get a hold of them.
Once again, loved this. Best moment of this video for me was the acknowledgment of the connection between Mirage Studios and the Underground Comix movement. To me it was so obvious. Eastman and Laird and artists like them always felt like the Underground of our generation. I don’t feel like that’s discussed too often. Glad y’all caught that here.
Couldn't have said it any better than you guys did at the end of the video. Eastman and Laird's TMNT COMIC does NOT get enough credit. The shows, movies, etc are all great, but the pure quality of the original Mirage volume 1 comics shocked me as a teenager when I first read it. It took something that was a fun cultural thing that I grew up around, and made it truly a work of art, a very underrated one at that. I remember reading the first few issues on the Mirage website back in the mid-late 2000s, and waiting for more. To this day, I say the City at War arc is one of the greatest comic book arcs ever. It was in a way that New Gods etc arc for me. It didn't talk down to the audience like so many things did. It also wasn't a traditional pulp story like a lot of comics I'd read either. The fact these guys come off as so humble and just unaware of how important (though underappreciated) some of their early TMNT comics were and still are is incredible. Truly can't express how grateful I am for Eastman and Laird's TMNT. These videos have been great, keep them coming please!
"Thats a Kevin Eastman Joint"- Peter "The Man" Laird
This is a fantastic "deep dive" and crossing my fingers that Pete and Kev can find time to do a few more of these while dissecting early issues.
Dream come true! Eastman and laird together again.. now to further it please do another Eastman and laird tmnt ongoing comic and go on a nation wide comic con tour!
The Kayfabe crew bringing the band back together. Well done. TMNT is the comic that stopped me from wasting my money on WCA and the like. Whenever we went up to Northampton I got to spend a few precious minutes in the comic store there and I would just grab anything new from TMNT and then figure out what I had left. Usually an issue of Fish Police or the Realm. For the life of me, I cannot remember the name of that place, all I can remember is the Nexus sticker on the side of the rack. Anyway, great video and looking forward to the rest.
This episode put a smile on my face. So happy to see Eastman and Laird together talking about the early days. I hope they can illustrate together a new TMNT story besides The Last Ronin. I'm sure it would sell like crazy. 🤞
Speaking of low-key humor, I love the variety of way the cops say "stop" on the first of the full page spreads near the end of the issue. ha ha. These are so good!
These videos are a dream come true and so insightful. I am one of those rare people who was never really into the show or movies, but always liked the original comics. Hope these two legends can team up and do some new ones together. Would also love Mr. Laird to do issue 33 of volume four and wrap up the story but he probably gets annoyed people asking that :p
Nice, you guys pulled it off again. Excellent segment. Would love to hear thoughts from Michael Dooney or Eric Talbot too. 👍
I love this so f*@#+&$ much! Thank you Jim & Ed! Thank you Kevin & Peter. Just a quick thought, in light of all of this badass writer/artist teamup discussion, whatsay y'all to a street angel/red room crossover?
What a great friendship, so great to see.
The end of this video made me sooo happy. Had to comment. Keep up the amazing content
Great stuff! Now please get Stan Sakai on!
These videos with Kevin and Peter are absolutely awesome. Great work, gentlemen.
These conversations belong in a museum
These interviews/page-by-page-play-by-plays are so amazing.
Wonderful interview!
I love the look on the guys' faces when E&L say they'd love to come back regularly for more shows. Like they're trying to stifle their excitement
Another great one!
These are so amazing - keep ‘em coming!
This is such a treasure! Thank you Kayfabe team!
Thanks so much!
This is incredible and the fact that you’re going to have more!! Mind blowing stuff!!🎉
this videos are so good. please we need more of this.
This is so awesome!!! I can't believe how cool and easy going they are
I have a spot on my wall (and no matter where i move in the future) that is reserved for the day i get a pice of art done by Kevin and Peter...literally theres a gap between two of my tmnt books that people always ask about ..one day ill find something done by the two of them..everything ive done with art and the like is because of them.
Incredible. Thank you Jim and Ed. Thank you Kevin and Peter. Just amazing.
These are amazing and make me so happy! Cannot wait until ya'll do the Leonardo Issue, a personal favorite!
Thanks guys
Gotta thank you guys for doing what you do. It's a pleasure for the real comic fans. Not these gen pop MCU DCEU "fans" who don't know anything about what good comics are. I'm an OG comic fan since 89 at the age of 6. Never thought we would have this access to all these great creators!!!
Great to see these two together, these interviews are great! Since Peter still has the rights to publish a few titles a year…you need to talk them into doing an issue, even if it’s just one!
Amazing!!!
More Please!!
That was sooooooooo cool love it............!!!!!!!!
Wow so great. Historic. Love you all
Best comics channel.
I'm crying here.
Wow. I feel like this is the beginning of a whole new series of videos where you guys get to deep dive each issue with Kevin and Peter. What a dream come true for you guys and such a treat for everyone else!
well, that was pretty damn cool.
I’m so happy we live in a world when we get to hear from these two.
Great interview with two legends!
Yes!!!
I hope the channel (which fills the tank of comic creators with enthusiasm regularly) just nudged the OGs to work in some new Turtle comics together again. Historic video.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!🎉
Im so happy this is looking like it will be a continued thing
continue ninja 2012 please 😢i love ninja turtles 2012
Wow!!!! That was an AMAZING video!!!!
Made me wonder when Jim and Ed will work together...
Over the moon! We are blessed! I'm so happy that Cartoonist Kayfabe exists! I am flabberghasted!
Is Eastman still involved with Heavy Metal? It’s been hard to keep up with that MAGA I e especially after Grant Morrison left under weird circumstances

Eastman got out a while ago. I was wondering what happened there with Morrison.
