What makes KDB so unique is, that he is not only a very technical skilled player. But he is more than anyone a highly intelligent player. He has a scanning pattern in his style of play, I once read he scans his environment about 10 times in 8 seconds. (5 times the position of the ball, 5 times the position of his teammates). While other players focus on the ball. Thats what makes Kevin crazily skilled, he sees things almost nobody can see, as if he can almost predict the way the game will unfold within the coming seconds. Xavi had the same skill, scanning his surroundings 8,3 times in 10 seconds, in order to make right decisions and be the playmaker of the squad. KDB has it all: whether it is assisting, long range shooting, or designing an attack out of the nowhere. A true mastermind of the game in any aspect you can think off in my opinion. Sidenote: the average soccer player scans his surroundings about 3-4 times in 10 seconds. For those interested, this research comes from Geir Jordet, a professor psychology at Norwegian School of Sport Sciences in Oslo.

I mean he regularly makes ballon d‘or top 10 without winning champions league or a big international trophy. Just one big trophy away from winning it. Trophies aside. Technically and performance wise, he‘s been arguably the best player in the world in the last couple of years. This consistency is almost on the same level as Ronaldo and Messi.

@Mark elon look i have been the biggest fan of Messi since I could remember. But lately, I'd say that the difference De Bruyne makes is just more than what Messi does. Messi needs a system around him to operate optimally, however, you put De Bruyne is any team dynamics and he'll outshine every time! Therefore, I think, only for me, I believe De Bruyne makes more of a difference on the pitch.

sterling deserves a documentary as well both of them came in the club at the same time and have exceled immensely De Bruyne contributes more assists and a couple of goals and sterling contributes more goals and a couple of assists and their link up play is so good they tend to play at the same wave length most of the time because they know each other so well. they've won quite a few trophies together also... this was good documentary never the less. but sterling deserves a little more recognition in my opinion as a city fan just as much as KDB.
