The point is to see how strong conventional PLA 3-d printing would be. Not how strong epoxy or PETG or any other resins/metal 3-d printing is.

The armour infraction from all you've filmed of it has to be my favourite !😀

A very good transmitter is the radiolink rg6gs. It cost like 40-50€ and they are 6ch fully programable. They have gyro into the receiver and I thinks they are the same receivers that the cheap transmitter uses with that ultra fast response and long range FHSS modulation

I very much appreciate videos like this one! It helps us to purchase with confidence where as without these kinds of videos we would be left confused and indecisive. I think your efforts in making this video is right on and it seems like you care enough about your subscribers that you take the time to make it even though its probably boring to take the time to make and edit and make it as nice and good quality like all your other videos just so we can go and spend our hard earned money with confidence. I worked with a guy who lost his entire house because a lipo went boom in his garage while he was on vacation. I keep my lipo batteries in a "fireproof" lockbox just in case they pop

Absolutely hear you on the rear wheel steering. I did the axle mount servo mod on my Clodbuster, front and rear, it works great, but I still prefer running just the front wheel steering if i plan to drive at any speed over about 1mph.

I've had probably 20 different crawlers and the trx4 is the king you're totally right saying it's the best. Its the only rc I will hand the remote to any beginner because I know it won't break even with a brushless system (I run a hobbywing fusion). Oh and I just got a dumbo transmitter for my trx4 because my stock transmitter just stopped turning on lol 35$ for a 6 channel transmitter I had my doubts but now I want to buy more receivers so I can use it on more of my rigs.

Hello Kevin. I bought Dumbo RC and never regret it :-) I had only Traxxas remote controller before and when i start also with onroad 1/10, faster controller was required. I hesitate for order Noble or Sanwa, but i decided to try cheap China Dumbo. Only disadvantage there are no profiles, but it's all.

I charge my LiPo right before I run it but I do it right beside my wooden cabinet. I should get one of those metal box too for my batteries..thanks for that tip kev! I am having tons of fun with my modified wltoys 12428..stock electronics but all metal gear and oiled shocks. Not really waterproof tho.

Great video, Can I ask What kv axe system do you recommend for a crawler Kev. I only have one gripe, the links goto Amain, i bought from them before and had a big bill this end on top of what I've already paid out, i prefer to buy from uk companies

In your dx5 kev, you can set dual rates, meaning, instead of steering with the 3rd channel switch, you use that switch to turn 2 and 4 wheel steer on and off, or basically a 0% rear steer, hit the switch, then it’s 0-100% servo depending on what you set the setting 2 as. A lot of my rear steers I have set at 10% and 50% servo throw. It’s possible this is how you’ve got it setup but it doesn’t come across in this video like that.

I am a die hard traxxas fan to the core! Absolutely my best choice for RC car. Xmaxx and Erevo!!

Jo kev, i want to get into drift/touring cars ive seen the kyosho fazer mk2 i am really interested in that model, but a few things i dont like is plastic driveshafts, plastic centershaft and an brushed system. Would you recommend this car?

I think it's really good, but I don't have much to compare to).

Do you recommend any 1:8 sized wheels for on-road? i got some really cheapos from CN, 4pcs on rims for like 13 bucks, they survived my 6S typhon without ripping apart (others failed / ripped apart after a while) but after just one battery they were almost done, rubbed off completely. didnt wanna spend 50..60 bucks for a set of dboots

now i ordered a dumboRc x6 ...because you mr kevin tablot recommended and cheap and good transmitter 😃

Great vid. Kev, please do an electric conversion on one of your Rovan 5b Bajas. I have a Baja flux and it's really cool. I agree with your assessment on the Xmaxx as the all round best, but I'd throw in a left of field honorable mention, say if the Xmaxx didn't exist. The 4x4 Traxxas Slash. I have both and as much as my boys and I love the Xmaxx, when its batteries have died we get the Slash out and find it as much fun and just a great car to boot.

Look for the parts see witch one you can get them for and buy that one just keep in mind the parts will not be around like a slash or other name brands ! I'm poor too and had to save money so I got a traxxas e-revo roller and put it together by my self !
