Once you leave the UK and call a foreign country home, your options are limited. Thailand's a great country for vacations, but not to reside in permanently, despite what many Thai vloggers will have you believe. There really is no place like home and no "Pattaya Wonderland." It's all just fairy tales. Even the great train robbers realised this simple truth.

At last someone speaking some sense! Your right, its never enough in Thialand. It would be back to UK asap for me. The doctors will be light years behind ours as well. You only get one life so i wouldn't leave it in the hands of thai doctors when its as serious as this!!

He can't go back.The NHS will put him on a waiting list .By the time he gets to just see the doctor things will have progressed to far.KEV has been away from the UK too long to receive any medical treatment through the health care service .They'll fuck him over for sure. It's up to us , his friends , to help him .

Good luck Kev. My recent hospital experience in Pattaya was impressive in comparison with the NHS. I’ve just holidayed there with a friend who was in a similar condition to you 8 years ago and he’s fit as a flea now. You’ll be fine.

Sounds like they know what they are doing. I have a friend in Seattle that had the exact surgery done, just as you described. 5 years later he is doing fine. Good Luck.
