As a newly diagnosed diabetic of five month Keto has really been a life saver for me. It's strict yes but most of the stuff you can't eat I still can't have as a diabetic. Also the diet really helps with lowering my blood suger.

I did keto plus calorie deficit and dropped 100lbs !!!! I ate a lot meat though and lots of fatty meats and cheese. HOWEVER I only ate twice for a day and that kept my cals low. You see as a man, your body burns around 1800 to 2000 calories a day doing nothing. I eat like at around 12pm basically lunch break at work is my first meal for the day is like a big burger "MINUS THE BREAD" to stay in keto so 670cals get's reduced to like 450 to 500cals. Oh so I don't eat breakfast, I just have coffee black and that's it which black coffee is like meh 15 or 20cals. Then at around 4:30pm I jog and bike for an hour that should loose you like 320cals there and me at work just breathing and doing daily moving around burns around 2,000cals and then at around 5 to 6 I eat a nice fatty meal (mainly steak) I love steak and eat it like all the time which is like 1,080cals but when you add that up, my cals are only like under 1500 for the day which is low and I basically supercharged my weight loss right there. My doctor even said I should eat like an extra 500cals somewhere in the day because she's worried that I'm starving myself, but I feel content and feel okay though so I don't know where I would fine the food to do that. I could care less for sugary things, I lost my sugar cravings. So 🤷🏽‍♂️.

I used to do keto but it was not sustainable for me! I switched to calorie counting because I wasn't restricted to the type of food I could eat. For me, calorie counting is sustainable and the weight loss is slow but steady.

I feel a person should start with calorie counting and do that for at least 30 days. Gives them time to understand food labels, weigh serving sizes, eat cleaner, etc then once they have prepared their mind/body then they can experiment with any other diet that may be stricter

I lost 60lbs in 4mos. on Paleo. To me, it's definitely the easiest. There is no calorie counting on Paleo. And, you can have red wine, and Ciders ;) Some hard cheeses are good, and sweet potatoes too.

I had tremendous healing on Paleo. I went Paleo for healing - fatigue, chronic pain, thyroid issues, stomach issues, depression and anxiety. And incidentally, while having huge improvement in those, I lost 20 pounds. I was never trying to lose weight but my body just found its optimal spot at 120 lbs. I was shocked to find that out when I got pregnant and weighed myself for the first time. I also never had a depressive episode again after going Paleo. Now, I am post-3rd-baby and actually do need to lose weight. I went keto with little results, so now I am low carb + low calorie.

Cheat meals is not really part of the diet though... he just decided that for himself 🙃 any of them could have planned for cheat meals and just compromised their results a little bit. IMO Paleo doesn't need cheat meals because you're not limited to what amount you can eat, and there's many great satisfying foods available. But it takes time to curate recipes you like.

Calorie counting (and no junk food) with an app like My Net Diary is super easy and effective. I've lost over 25 pounds in 100 days. No fasting, no keto nonsense. The app also shows you daily totals for carbs, protein, and fats from each food you are eating so you stay in a balanced diet. When I'm at home I use kitchen scale to weigh my foods so I get an accurate count. You'd be surprised how much you have to eat to meet your calorie count, so long as its not junk food, oils, or breaded meats.

@@TheBlindGuys the problem with keto is that you are going to relapse. Whether it takes 7 days, 7 weeks, or 7 months, your body will have a revulsion and you will binge on carbs for a month. I know first hand. Then you try to carry on with Dr Berg fasting non sense, more yo-yo dieting, etc. After 2 years of that I ended up gaining 35 pounds and hadn't had a normal meal in ages. Finally getting myself back, as I said I have lost 25 pounds in 100 days with balanced dieting and light exercise. That's why I called Keto "nonsense," and I'm an expert in it after 2 years. Problem is it that its unsustainable long term.

Came here because this website was mentioned in your main KZread channel. also check the top ranking KZread channels that you mentioned. All these top channels provided role models for young people. Australian born Chinese myself. Retired CIO 1984. This channel was too long. An executive summary in the form of a table at the beginning would be nice. The bickering between the four young Asian males was interesting. None of the Donald Trump one-upmanship. Instead the standard Asian keeping face routine. Focus was on winning the war and not winning the immediate battle. Focus was on keeping the factual content accurate.

Here is some constructive criticism for you guys. All of the laughing, followed up by very quiet comments, results in listeners not being able to understand a large quantity of what you are saying. The primary person speaking is clear, but then you all burst into laughter, and then whisper something funny or possibly relevant, but we can't hear it. Of course, I am driving in my car right now trying to listen, but I don't have this problem on other KZread channels. I just discovered yours, and I would like to listen, but I am missing a large portion of what you are saying because your audio is not consistent volume. Just something to think about.
