Thank you Sir for helping the Kestrels.

I'm always amazed by the intelligence of corvids. The kestrels attacked the jackdaw pair while they were mating and stole the nest where the jackdaws wanted to breed in. As a response the jackdaws held a grudge and went on a bullying campaign which kept on escalating but never to the point where they would kill or throw out all of the chicks. It wasn't wise but acting like that for no benefit whatsoever shows their level of thinking and emotional response jackdaws have. Amazing animals.

We can see quite a few pellets in the nest from the beginning...obviously this nest belonged to the kestrel couple. The jackdows were stupidly mating in others' house and as a matter of course, getting kicked their asses by the inhabitants.

Little tip:never make kestrels nest wide open, make like sort of box with hole that kestrels as well as other predators birds can enter, never make it wide open or jackdaws, crows and other raptors will kill a chicks

What camera are you using for this, and is it with or without cable attached?

Imagine you're just chilling in your house, making sweet love, tryna start a family, and then a couple people come in and start attacking you. Those Jackdaws were 100% justified in their anger.

@@littlesqueak_ It is nature there isn't anything inherently good or bad here this is just survival. And part of good survival realistically is that one of the parents do need to watch out for the nest, if they aimed to maximize survival. In fact if you look there was 5 of them at the start and very evidently the runt of the litter was being fed in comparison to its siblings, this already is part of the survival process. The jackdaws simply had more free reign than they should have in the first place. But also yes they had their own chance to build a nest there but were evicted out by the stronger species. Honestly if that was a video of baby jackdaws in a nest being attacked by kestrels I doubt you'd be rooting on the aggressors side.

It's obvious the human nest owner favors the kestrel. Without the human's intervention, the kestrel chicks would have been picked off one by one. The kestrel didn't leave a parent behind for defense.

Jackdaw was just trying to let the Kestrel know his car warranty was expiring

Curiously, this is being spread on Instagram, mirrored so that the date is not as easy to read, and the sequence of events has been shuffled around so that it looks like the jackdaw attacks the kestrel first, kills all the babies, then mates, then the kestrel couple get back at them by attacking and driving them away.
