Supermodel LITERALLY begins to set the thematic content of the album, that is, the human desire for control- control over our work, control over our bodies, our relationships, our lives, our futures. Audrey goes as far as saying that the loss of control is her "greatest fear", as the album proceeds to explore the other themes its supposed to explore. The Weekend, Broken Clocks, and the other singles are good quality songs, and they too have their place on the album, but looking back, I couldn't imagine Supermodel NOT being the opening song. SZA made the correct decision.

the only good SZA interview...and I've watched them all. *EDIT:* Allow me to elaborate. I've watched a bunch of her interviews and the interviewers always seem to have this "one size fits all" approach and whenever she gets bored with the subjects discussed she tries to offer up things she is interested in. Almost always the interviewer tries to reign her back into something they're more comfortable with and it usually makes her come off a bit odd/awkward. Kerwin is willing to go down the rabbit hole with her and the result is what I believe is her best interview to date.

Erin Madden her socks are obviously a product of her wearing them around her house x in her shoes. aka she’s a real human who doesn’t have a maid and we all wear socks that get a lil dirty. i appreciate her dirty socks

Erin Madden it’s real tho. i watched KUWTK and Kourtney was wearing white socks that were spotless. i feel like she put on new socks just for that clip and so her socks weren’t dirty. that’s why my appreciation for SZA slightly dirty socks exist. if that’s extra then i’m extra af. period 🤷🏾‍♂️
