Glad John Dwyer from thee oh sees doesnt operate like that. If anything it’s more of a time to play and write. They released 4 albums last year and 2 already in 2021 so far. He said what the fuck else is there to do other than write music.

ahh i love how authentic this feels. the awkward lulls in the conversation. usually theres a forced energy to keep it constantly flowing in interviews and stuff, but they didnt even bother with this. its really just a conversation between two people where one guy makes a particular effort to ask questions lol.

imagine sitting across from Mac and improvising lyrics while he just strums away, nodding his approval

Mac is such a good dude. The entire interview he refused to judge or shit on someone else for how they make music. He’s just kind of like “ I like to do it this way, if they like doing it a different way good for them, as long as their into it”. (not a direct quote)
