"We’re at a point where political fatigue has set in and become an issue for most people who live in our country no matter what side of the coin they land on. In an election year that feeling is going to start elevating to new heights as we prepare for what’s next in America. For his debut album, From Hell I Rise, due out May 17 on Reigning Phoenix Music, King, on guitar, enlisted drummer Paul Bostaph (Slayer), bassist Kyle Sanders (Hellyeah), Phil Demmel (formerly Machine Head) on guitar, and vocalist Mark Osegueda (Death Angel). Working with producer Josh Wilbur (Korn, Lamb of God, Avenged Sevenfold, Bad Religion), the vast bulk of King’s solo album was recorded at Henson Studios in Los Angeles.

Well, to me it sounds like Havok. It's a good track and all, but literally it's like Havok. That doesn't mean anything though, since Havok was surely influenced by the great Slayer and King.

Well, I guess you could say that I’m a hater and I can assure you it was effortless to dismiss this, and every other track I’ve heard from this project! Slayer 1983-1990 pure gold. Everything after just dipped in quality accordingly. This solo stuff is like the boring last years of Slayer, but worse. I’d put money on it that this doesn’t last, or go anywhere big.

There's thrash, there's punk, there's old-school heavy metal. It couldn't be better. All you naysayers are going to eat your words in 5 years time, even.
