The Overmind is a textbook case of a daddy being too soft on his little girl. Even in the Queen of Blades novelization when Kerrigan tried to convince the Overmind to let her stay on Char to hunt down Tassadar & Zeratul, the Overmind relented after Kerrigan sweet-talked into "avenging" the death of Zasz.

I know you're joking obviously, but also because Kerrigan is the first Zerg who can use the same power as the templar. Not only that, she also has the void abilities (after infestation). She is the antithesis of Tassadar. Tassadar ascends to learn both abilities, while Kerrigan is betrayed/abandoned into knowing both ways.

Hunter Killer: "I feel like we Hydralisk are the ones doing all the work here, and took all the beatings too." Kinda sad for the player cerebrate that protected Kerrigan and did all the commanding work just to be rewarded by death later by Kerrigan when she creating new hierachy with queen and broodmother units. The magistrate also had similar fate, not die but still fade away, nobody care about him.

My headcanon is that the magistrate was just a regular bureaucrat sent to backwater planet with usual business, he didn’t want any of the epic events that got steered exponentially quick but over time he left his peaceful life behind and stood by Raynor who he trusted fully.

The cerebrate (Which was slain by Tassadar on Char sometime after the Zerg invasion of Aiur but before the Executor was send by Aldaris to find Tassadar) that was assigned to protect Kerrigan in this campaign is not the same as the one in Brood War. But you're right the one in BW was indeed killed by Kerrigan later on─although it wouldn't have been able to survive without an Overmind.

With how many infected terrans one colony house can spew for eternity, I'm not surprised that someone already did NSFW or Kerrigan and sent it to the rest of the boys from science team

You'd think this would be harder without being able to control Kerrigan, but this looks easier than the Jacobs Installation mission. The Hunter Killer's controller just needs to micro some.

One thing I never understood was why, in the Amerigo cinematic, did that one Terran ghost just stand there smiling while his comrades were getting slaughtered by the Zerg?

Meanwhile, on Starcraft Alternate... Templar Duran wishes for an expedition at a Zerg-infested Science Vessel that crashed on Aiur some time ago to unlock the Ghost inhibitions in his mind. Tassadar sends a few Vanguards. Fenix sends a few Crimson Talons. The new Executor can only dispatch a few "ordinary" Zealots and Dragoons, but they are able to advise Duran directly. Along the way, apart from all the Zerg, they also run into some experimental explosives that deal with a particularly huge gathering of Zerg, and get intermittent reinforcements. Eventually, they reach the files, and while they don't grant Duran any special powers, his psionic weaponry and shields are now more powerful. "LORD OF FIRE" BOOK EVENTS While that's happening, other Tribes have sent Scouts and Carriers to shoot down the spacefaring forces both the Baelrog and Dragon Broods have hanging out over the surface. Zasz was aware of Draliska's presence, and laments that he can't bear witness to the Hunter Killer's end as his Behemoth flees. With only a token force and a single Yggdrasil to control them while also unable to return to his own Behemoth due to all the air units, Draliska orders his Cerebrate "operating" their Behemoth to flee from Aiur's exosphere. Only a few Mutalisks and Guardians from both Broods are left stranded. And to make things more complicated, the Zeta Squadron under Captain Arcturus Mengsk has arrived to take out the Protoss. And they end up wiping out the Zerg flyers that attack them, which is all of those belonging to Zasz, and a few from the other. Draliska tries to reach out to the flyers above to tell them to approach his location. Surprisingly, Mengsk tells his men to let them go, and reasons to them that they'll be more suitable as additional distractions against the Protoss.
