It's all about the music, Jim. Really good music here. There was no character. As much as I'm fascinated by people using game engines for cinematic projects, I couldn't take anymore of watching a plastic toy truck go over blurry ground. And text with typos. But I made it through. Last shot had a lovely sky.

Injuries from the crash means that his suit must have been ripped in several places
Nassault... I hope you see this.... to this day, _Jool_ and _Kerbal_ are still the best cinematics you have made. I hope you continue to make cinematics of this type. I am not a fan of your aircraft work (Ace Combat and DCS) but I do still watch them. Godspeed.
I'm a 22 year old guy, and that awesome little Kerbal had me shedding tears for him at the end. Best movie I've ever seen. I was punching the air at 15:39. Liked and Subscribed for the shear brilliance of Scott Kerbal
So beautiful, and so dark. How do you manage to make your audience attached to a character within 18 minutes?!

It's all about the music, Jim. Really good music here. There was no character. As much as I'm fascinated by people using game engines for cinematic projects, I couldn't take anymore of watching a plastic toy truck go over blurry ground. And text with typos. But I made it through. Last shot had a lovely sky.
damn you are good. only slight complaint was that it was mainly made up of cinimatic shots and less actual action but you still managed to make me feel sad because of a kerbal so hats off to you sir.
I’ve looked for months for this video. I’m saving it so I don’t lose it again.
Accomplishing your seemingly impossible goal, with unparalleled determination and a pioneering spirit. Indeed, this is what it means to be Kerbal. RIP Scott Kerman.
I know you might not ever read this, Nassault, but I just wanted to thank you for making this video! :D I have watched it countless times now, and each time it just as amazing! :) I hope to one day be able to figure out how you manage to work kerbcam that well hehe! Anyways, I have one question, do you have a list of the soundtracks you used in this video? Specifically the soundtrack that starts at 0:45 and the one that's going at 12:50 :) If you did end up reading this, then once again, good job and keep it up! :D

Wow... just... wow... The songs fitting perfectly with the astonishing scenes together with those awesome quotes! Dude, that was the best thing I've ever watched, so sad and amazing at the same time. And thanks for the song names, they fit perfectly with all the stargazing thing, gave me goosebumps lol. Sadly I can't like up this video enough.

Message from KSP: You didint need a space suit, you know?
This has to be one best things I have ever watched. Professional and emotional the entire way through. The soundtrack is amazing and the quotations are inspiring. This deserves every bit of credit it receives, 10/10.
I still remember the day this came out. Even after more than two years it never ceases to amaze me.
Is the name "Scott" a reference to Scott Manley?

This was so inspirational and amazing. It makes me sad I'm sitting here watching this on my phone whilst I could be doing other things. It really makes you wonder what makes us who we are and want to find out how we came to be. At least. That's what my depressed state of mind is getting out of this. Amazing job.
My God, I stumbled across this and I have to say that was the most awesome and creative thing, you sir, have a gift!
You know it's actually KSP because of the visual glitches you see at times :P
Why a fanfilm of a game made me cry?
This was the most beautiful video I have ever seen on KZread. Literally
This made me very emotional and teary-eyed. Great job Nassault. Seriously great job.
it's a heartbreaking story :')

That was truly beautiful Nassault. The Plot, the music, the camera work, everything. It had comedy, emotion, stunts. This is one of the greatest pieces of Machinima I have ever seen, thankyou
Wow. Just Wow. Never had a 20 min video almost bring me to tears. Awesome job Nassault. Just spectacular.

Great cinematics and camerawork. This drama with a few graphical touches available now would be a truly wonderful masterpiece!

This film move me like anything. Music is such beautiful. Nassault! You're real artist! I have no words to describe how I feel after this masterpiece of the cinematic! Thank you for this 20 minutes!
I come back to this every year, This inspired me to drive landtrains back when kerbin was beautiful with scatter trees and pretty vistas... the isolation and bond I felt with my 44 class landliner train was like nothing ever before and since.. she was my train.. my home.. the only life in all of kerbin.. it made every injury the locomotive endured both important, scary and heartbreaking... 2017, now...2020 kerbin terrain is a shadow of itself and these good times just a memory.. but it was lifechanging.. these days derail valley's taken its place
It's strange how you can get attached to Scott. Why'd he have to die?!

So many feels. This was great, and it has such potential! I hope you keep making them, and keep upgrading them. Longer, more story etc. I got a ton of ideas after watching this, and I can just hope someone makes an animated movie of KSP. That would be so epic. I unfortunately have not got the resources for that
Man, these KSP videos are amazing. Keep it up! ^^

Still watching in 2017. This is probably one of my favorite KSP films of all time.
God damn hell! Very, very nice work & postprod effects! And the reference to Into the wild at the end, haha, i had a little tear haha!
15:45 scott looks so cute! The distance, the way kerbals walk, and the low brightness make him look s cuuuuute!
People always give you props for your cinematography, but your audio is spot on too! From the soundtrack to sound effects, everything is great. Keep up the good work!
Never expected a KSP movie to bring me to tears Great placement of quotes
This was the most amazing video I've seen on KZread 10/10
You're doing the most beautiful video of KSP, this is not just a game, it's art
this made me cry, scott, you will always be remembered!
This was utterly, UTTERLY remarkable! I've seen multi-million dollar Hollywood movies that attempted to make me feel emotional and have failed significantly in comparison to this. Astounding work and you should be extremely proud of yourself for such an impressive feat. Well done my friend!
