Kenya's SCARIEST MOUNTAIN ROAD: Journey from Wewo Church to Kapedo Hot Waterfall

Embark on an unforgettable journey that will leave you utterly mesmerized! Rewind with us to last June as we set out on the roadtrip of a lifetime, traversing the enchanting North Rift region of Kenya and uncovering its most precious secrets, one by one. 🌟
Our quest led us from Uasin Gishu County to Elgeyo Marakwet County, onward to West Pokot County, and finally circling back to Baringo County. It was in the heart of Elgeyo Marakwet County that we stumbled upon the awe-inspiring Wewo Catholic Church. Perched high amidst the towering mountains, the church's breathtaking location left us in a state of pure wonder and admiration.
This captivating video serves as just the prologue to an exhilarating 3-part series, chronicling our epic odyssey through the North Rift. From the soaring heights of Wewo Church, we navigated the heart-pounding Sambalat Road - a rollercoaster of hair-raising ascents, heart-stopping descents, and vistas that left us on the edge of our seats. Our journey continued to the sizzling Kapedo Hot Water Springs, the only of its kind in Kenya.
Our expedition across the captivating North Rift began in the chilly embrace of Nairobi County, unfolding through Nakuru, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, and Elgeyo Marakwet Counties. Nights spent camping under the soothing rhythm of raindrops added a touch of enchantment to our adventure, crafting memories beneath starlit skies that will forever linger in our hearts.
Amidst the lush embrace of verdant green highland forests, we found solace, while the tranquil summits of Kapsowar, Maron, and Embobut offered panoramic views that spoke to the depths of our souls. The awe-inspiring Wewo Church, a testament to human resilience and unwavering faith, stood as a sentinel amid the mountainous terrain.
Yet, the adventure was far from over - brace yourself for the exhilarating twists and turns of the Sambalat Road. With hairpin bends and heart-stopping drops, it put our nerves and resolve to the ultimate test, leaving us exhilarated and filled with a rush of adrenaline.
And then, the pinnacle of enchantment - the discovery of Kenya's sole hot water waterfall, the awe-inspiring Kapedo Hot Springs Waterfall. The sheer beauty of this natural marvel left us completely spellbound and rendered us momentarily speechless.
Our journey was an amalgamation of heart-pounding moments, powering through mountain passes with our engine roaring in 1st and 2nd gear, executing precise braking maneuvers, and navigating the lush embrace of green cedar and indigenous forests. Every second was an infusion of pure adrenaline, as the crisp, clean air refreshed our spirits, and the resounding cascades of Embobut gifted us with nature's purest water.
As we embarked on this extraordinary expedition, we encountered a facet of Kenya that often remains concealed beneath the veil of its more prominent attractions. The warmth and narratives shared by the incredible locals reminded us of the essence of travel - forging connections with people from all walks of life.
Relive the awe, camaraderie, fear, and sheer beauty through this mesmerizing video. It's not merely a travel account; it's an invitation to uncover Kenya's hidden gems, embrace the unknown, and bask in the magic that unfolds beyond the well-trodden path.
Join us in celebrating the sheer magnificence of our planet through our latest KZread masterpiece, "Roadtrip to Heaven: Conquering Sambalat Road, Exploring Wewo Church & Kapedo Hot Springs Waterfall." Sambalat is undeniably beautiful, and the view of Elgeyo Marakwet is simply breathtaking. I appreciate the way you explore Kenya, showcasing its diverse and picturesque landscapes. I strongly encourage a visit to the top hills of Elgeyo Marakwet, specifically the captivating Kapkuut Tabare. Additionally, the savannah land of Baringo, especially the enchanting Maji Moto, and the opposite hillside of Lake Bogoria via Kisanana, are must-visit locations that showcase Kenya's diverse beauty. Tutembee Kenya ama vipi - let's explore Kenya together!

That was epic ndugu zangu. When you talked about going down being more difficult. In a manual car You can down without touching the brakes but just using engine braking to slow down. An example is when doing 50kmph but you need to be around 20kmph. Gradually change gears without touching the brakes from 4th down to 3rd and then 2nd gear. You must clutch up when changing those gears to engage engine braking.

Just look at all that greenery and water water water. You know these people never go hungry they have all sorts of fresh fruits and am sure they grow crops to feed themselves. This place has all it takes to be a food basket to feed Kenya. Water and vast lands. Honestly why should anyone in Kenya die of hunger with all this potential. Not just here but all over the country there are vast potential agricultural areas untapped.
