Kenya has never said anything negative about Kandi, even when Kandi and Phaedra were friends. Kenya respects Kandi honesty and Kandi respects Kenya seeing the situation for what it is. Although Kandi knows Kenya does a little too much, she also knows she does it for TV…win win.

They’re not competing with each other. I think every woman knows what it’s like to have a close friend you’re competing with, and a close friend who you’re not. I picked up early on these two bond because neither has the need to dim the other’s light.

Kandi and Kenya are a good example of what it’s like to be grown women in a genuine friendship. You can agree to disagree and it not be the end of your friendship. I think people like pinning them against each other because they’re both such strong women that you would think two alpha females are always going to clash and have issues but in this case I think they since they’ve spent enough years filming with each other, being around each other, vacationing witnessing huge monumental moments in each other lives off and on camera, they know each other and they know each other‘s boundaries. I’ll never forget when Kandi stood up for Kenya that season that man tried to attack her while the other woman blamed her … That was the start of a solid friendship imo

I think that was the start of their solid friendship too. I remember during quarantine when everyone sent Kandi birthday wishes and what stuck out was Kenya’s. She got emotional saying “thank you for being the kind’ve friend I haven’t had in a long time.”

I just watched this KZread video again, and the way the interviewer is just complimenting the white cast members and glossing over our gals is irritating. These small moments I always catch up on, and it further shows how engrained this behavior is in the Bravo network.
