The 90s tech was fascinating. Everything was so much more mechanical and every one wanted to show off their new technology. & Motor drive systems. Drawers.. lcds. Vfds .. Dolby noise reduction ! Amp power! & The time of vu meters and flashy lights❤️.. i have a sony cassatte deck & its only 35x4watt max so probably less than 7watts rms per channel .. but still it sounds great!

Awesome car stereo! When brands like Pioneer, Nakamichi, Fujitsu Ten -after known as Eclipse-, Alpine, Concord and others, also off course Kenwood made impressives products with the best materials and quality. I think never come back to see that quality.

Compact Cassettes are still alive!

i had the same stereo about 20 years ago but it was completely D e a d and i couldn't get anyone to repair it for me so i sold it for almost nothing., even though when it was broken i found it hard to part with, i just loved it for what it was.

Today's unit's are very nice and sound good but to me the more classic unit's sound way better but i was installing a lot of the these unit's back in the day they were high dollar unit's for the time.

@@thegamerwolf5029 I got rid of a lot of units I had years ago most of the classic units were made so well some folk's still use them and won't give them up for anything.. Best thing I can say is just keep looking I was on ebay the other day seeing a lot of classic 90's car stereos. But not the Krc 999/2 that is hard to find.

If I remember correctly these only worked if they were hook up to an amp.. I miss mine for sure

@@Joe8648 that is true, you need an external amp for them to run. those units didn’t have internal amps due to all the technology fit into them hence why you had to have all the external components for them to run as well. would really love to own one ive been looking for the longest time
