    Hi man, I have the exact same turntable! It’s doing a great job, the only thing is that when I press Play to start the record starts spinning and the tone arm moves up from resting position but is not moving towards the record. Do you have an idea what is causing this problem? Thanks in advance

    I could not tell you exactly what part of the mechanism is failing, but I think that the size selection mechanism is out of place or stuck, maybe the rubber plate is not well placed, the parts that come out of the plate have to move freely and stay up all the time while there is no record, and when you put record one or both have to press for the same record to tell the turntable if you have a 12" or a 7" record, remove the belt and platter, check that this mechanism is working well, if that part of the mechanism does not work, the turntable thinks there is no record and that is why the arm does not move so as not to damage the needle

    Hello! Just gone one and the play/cue button isn’t working. When I manually set the needle on the record it stops and sits idle when it gets to where a 45 would start... any idea how to fix that? It won’t play 45s... tone arm won’t move

    What I understand from your message is that you manually set the needle on the record and it plays. After it plays, when it gets to where the 45 would start, it stays there (idle). Since you said the tone arm won't move, then the needle is just skipping, right? It could be several things: Since the motor does work and works when you move the arm, the problem isn't electric. It is mechanic. What worries me the most is that the arm doesn't move after half of a record... I don't know if you bought the turntable used or if it has been sitting there for a long time, some fabricants (almost all of them), use a lubricant that it solidifies after time. So, instead of lubricate things, it makes them stuck. This happens with time though not one day to another, especially if you use it often. I would think the mechanism needs to be cleaned, and lubricated again. Starting with the platter mechanism. The platter has a selector of size (not rpm), if that mechanism isn't freely working, it could cause you several problems. I use contact cleaner from the brand crc from home depot. Spray the contact cleaner in the mechanical areas so everything will break loose. Without being able to see it, this is the only thing I could come up with. It could be broken parts, but most of the times this is the problem with the turntables.

    I have one with a motor issue, do you know how to adjust the pitch?

  • @Jaime_Estevez

    @Jaime_Estevez

    If there is something you can do, you don't say if the RPM is above or below, but if it is below 33 1/3 it could be that your belt is loose and you need to replace it, if that does not correct the problem you can adjust the speed depending on the design, some turntables have two holes under the turntable and are marked as 33/45 rpm, insert a flat screwdriver and you can adjust the speed of whatever your problem is, if you do not have that access then the motor has a small hole covered by a rubber seal, where you can also adjust the motor speed

    @@Jaime_Estevez I took it apart from the bottom yesterday, yes, this turntable does have separate pitch adjustments and the new belt I installed.

    solo como tip, las agujas se compran por modelo de phonocaptor (cartucho), no por modelo de tornamesa, para ayudarte nos tienes que dar el modelo del cartucho.
