Kentucky Lake MLF BFL Bass Tournament May 4th 2024 With Ray Barga

Ойын-сауық

I had the pleasure of fishing the Major League Fishing BFL bass tournament on Kentucky Lake with Ray Barga. Man what a fun day. Kentucky and Barkley Lakes are fishing very well right now and we caught plenty of fish. We both had a solid finish but I jumped a few fish off that would've made a big difference. Here's how our tournament went..

    Its the small things that make a good tournament angler. Whether its recognizing a bum hook, or color, bait size, or any combination. That is what makes us fishing nerds better & more consistent. Great stuff in the water, keeping calm with a positive mindset. (Its not easy) Thats how guys learn to WIN! Hopefully we'll see each other on the podium...👊

    Way to make what you had work and bring home a check. I got a question though; do you think taking a swim jig out of your bag, pulling the skirt off and throwing a swimbait on would have achieved a similar enough profile to get bit? Oh, and where are you getting beef for $2.89 a pound? I need to shop there lol.

  • @TheTinHorseMonty

    @TheTinHorseMonty

    Ай бұрын

    You always pay attention to the details. I may have exaggerated the discount beef prices 😁. A swim jig hook would be to big and stout for the size of swimbait and the rod I was using. Good thoughts tho. Thanks.

    Gabe what ya doin on coangler rods,i end up carrying 5,and really dont wanna carry 4,and would like ta get by with 3,iv found that 5-6 i end up spending to much time digging thru rods,and losing confidence,changin baits etc.and it becomes more of a distraction than assistance.but i find it hard ta leave the ramp with not all my bases covered.what do u or anybody else weigh in do,i try ta find versitile baits that i can fish 4ftor40ft,sumpthn fast and sumpthn dragging,topwater crankbait.

    I typically take 7 rods but generally spend most of the day with 2-3 in my hand. I may pick up a rod and make a few casts based on the situation.
