what an AMAZING meet. so so happy for LSU!!! that floor rotation was textbook perfect. haleigh is one of, if not the best right now imo, but her vault was over scored. i definitely think sierra deserved and would’ve gotten a much higher score if she wasn’t in lead off, at least a 9.925. i didn’t even see any deductions. so sad when ashley fell, because after she got back up her routine was gorgeous. just an unfortunate mistake. but WOW so happy for kiya’s 10 and haleighs! also, i cringed when KJ fixed her leo😭 it would’ve been a 10 otherwise!!! she’s SO deserving and she’ll get her moment soon, i just know it.

What a great meet! I really enjoyed having Aly Raisman as commentator. She is one of my favorite gymnasts. Way to go LSU, and a great away score for Kentucky as well.

Raena got robbed on floor. She should have had many 10s in her career. Judges are reluctant to give 10s to a school that hasn’t historically had the same pedigree as the big names. It’s just plain wrong. I am rooting for Raena to eventually get the 10 she deserves.

@klg4zy how can you not like someone that sings during their beam performance but she's always such a ray of sunshine.

I love Haleigh but that vault was overscored. Her feet moved and she was slightly off to the side. On the flipside (no pun intended) Sierra was underscored on both events, especially on floor. I'd love to know where they found .125 worth of deductions on that routine.

I absolutely adore Ali and having her announce is so much fun ❤!!! She’s such a knowledgeable gymnast and wonderful personality 👑. What an incredible meet this was . So much talent and high spirits 👏🏼❤️❤️❤️

i already made a long comment, but wanted to add so happy to see chase again. i was so upset when she stumbled on vault, but i KNOW she has many sticks coming :) also i’m really missing alyona and elena this season :( i know we’ll see elena soon, but wishing for a speedy recovery for both of them. for bryce wilson also!! was so excited to see her this season

Thanks for uploading! Some odd scoring last night - KJ & Raena definitely should have had 10's on floor. Patterson was scored way too low on her vault. Speaking of Patterson...why does she talk like a 5 year old? Aly did a great job with her commentary - I think JR was the perfect partner for her first broadcast.

Agreed. Konnor is capable of greatness on beam. I can only hope this adjustment is for rebuilding her confidence on beam and that we will later see the same konnor from the exhibition. She had a few wobbles then but her difficulty level was so high, so I wasn't mad about it.

Ali and is an awesome Commentator. So knowledgeable. I love how relaxed she is narrating. It seems like she's been doing this for years!!!

people are so dramatic. This meet was not that badly scored. There were a few high scores, yes, but there were also a few that didnt score as well as they probably should have. I think it evens out. Yeah, its annoying, but i think they still would have hit 198 and they most definitely would have still won.

Agreed. Sierra was underscored on beam and floor. Kj was also underscored on floor. Konnor did better on bars than her score as well. She didn't stick the landing but it was only a small step and her technique up until then was among the best of the night. Her handstands are gorgeous! What exactly did they deduct in Savannah's bar routine. Gymnastics in general needs a more uniform and transparent way of scoring. Too many times it feels like the judges just randomize pick numbers. Something needs to be done. But this meet wasn't the worst. The judges were off on scores for both sides.

Oy...okay...not surprisingly; LSU got some gifts at home. However, it was not as egregious as I feared. LSU wasn't given this win, they earned it. -Hayleigh could very easily have had a vault score below 9.8 had all the rules been applied correctly. She needs to be patient with those landings and realize that covering up landing deductions can equal more deductions than just landing, taking one small step, bringing the feet back together and saluting. -Hayleigh also has the flattest feet in creation in that UB dismount. I can even forgive the cowboying because it helps her avoid injury by being able to spot the landing. However, the flat feet and landing with feet apart should get deductions. I'd have gone 9.900 there. -Same thing for Kiya on FX. I'm thrilled she's back and she looks great. Her feet in that full-twisting double back opening pass are so flat I could serve cocktails on her soles. They're so flexed it almost looks purposeful. And before anyone says it's harder for black girls to have perfect toe-point, that's not true. And, even if it were, she shows she _can_ flip with pointed toes in the double pike--not perfectly extended and pointed, but it shows she can pull it off.

the meet wasnt able to be broadcasted on SEC right away because of another meet still finishing up, so it started on SEC+ and had to get switched over afterwards. I was annoyed too, but I don't think it was on purpose.

LSU did good tonight but some scores were just a little over scored. Some comparisons I could make but the biggest has to be Kiya and Raena floor. I would have put their scores as the same

Yup one of the gymnasts from UK did the same vault as Bryant from LSU and actually stuck it... The score discrepancy was 9.925 vs Bryants 9.975. just make it make sense. She's incredible, she doesn't need falsely elevated scores.

Love Haley, but her vault was not a 9.975, she never held the stick position. Ariana got a great stick and only got a 9.925. I get that it wasn't as high as Haley but come on...judging is still a bit all over the place..Also love seeing Aly Raisman commentating 😊

Love seeing Ali Raisman here and she did a really good job!! Good, insightful comments delivered clearly. Well done! Sincere question, so please don't come for me. I see a lot of comments here questioning the score for Haleigh Bryant's vault. As someone with very limited gymnastics knowledge I'd really appreciate someone explaining where they feel it was lacking? It's my understanding that while important, sticking a landing is only one component. The height off the table, the distance traveled, the form in the air and alignment on landing are all scored. So other than not sticking the landing, where else would you have taken marks away? Also, comparisons have been made with another gymnast's vault so if you could point put where they performed it better that would help as well. As I said, I have very little working knowledge but I love this sport and would like to learn all I can!

basically yes, haleigh didn't fully stick it. theres also a new rule this year that they have to hold their ending position for a full second before saluting. she may have held it, but she was clearly not in full control (she was leaning backwards). the judges average their scores in order to get her actual score. Therefore, one gave her a 9.95 and the other gave her a 10. That's why it should not have been a 9.975 because the judge with the 10 did not take the necessary deductions. here are the comparisons with arianna patterson's vault (the one people are saying was better): HALEIGH: * gets a lot of distance * better form in my opinion * gets her chest up right away * did NOT fully stick it * keeps her legs and feet together throughout the whole thing (including the landing) * gets super high of the table (good block) ARIANNA: * lands closer to the table * stuck it * her feet were a little farther apart on the landing * landed with chest down a little * does not get as high off the table I personally think haleigh's was overall better, but it's a whole controversy. I hope this helps!

a lot of great gymnasts in this room but for me the best of them is still aly raisman! great meet but i really dont like the scoring in the PMAC. often it feels like LSU has a scoring advantage at home. which they dont need. because they are great. i am just not happy with how their home meets are scored. and does someone know why Elena Arenas is not competing? I miss her big beautiful yurchenko full on vault (i know - not the 10.0 start value but last season it was cleaner executed than a lot of the yurchenko 1 1/2) and it is a shame that they didnt give Raena Worley a 10 on bars!

The scores should have been way more close. I think LSU was more consistent and they deserved the win but like for 0.1/0.3 maximum. Shame LSU is always overscored at home, then they go away and the scores are way lower that they expect.

Arianna should have gotten a 10 as her vault was much better than Haleigh’s. Another example of over scoring for her vaults. Still don’t know how she got a 10 last year with a clear hop on the landing.

The celebrate like they won the championship after every routine. But the Olympics everyone is all calm cool and collected.
