@Don't post videos If you don't like opinions Kenny is not as innovative, granted, but his songs are so much more listenable than SRV's .....and I love SRV

I'm convinced that whatever guitar Kenny picked up would sound awesome.

Kenny is the reason I started learning to play the electric guitar a year ago, just into my 30s, and I was always into pop...not any more, I thank this guy for showing me the raw sounds of the blues..and pushing me to explore rock and metal and country..such a awesome player, keep up the good work fender.. and look after this legend in the making!!

I'm 16 and I love Kenny's music. But i'm in doubt to start playing guitar, because I don't know how long will it take me to learn how to play fluid

I saw Kenny in Amsterdam last year. What a player! One of the greatest blues guitarist out there right now!

I love the Kenny Wayne Shepherd band, follow always the concerts when they in Holland!

As a pro tech, I've worked on a couple of these just doing maintenance and minor tweaks. I like the concept...IMO, this and many other hybrids, are trying to offer gigging musicians an option while playing live, so you don't have to switch gtrs in the middle of a song. A hybrid will never sound like a perfect acoustic or electric, but it's a tool. I appreciate gtr companies trying to be innovative, but they do need to have long term support for their products. The electronics involved with this guitar are specialty/proprietary. 10 yrs from now can you still get parts to fix it? Gibson and their Robot guitars and GForce tuners are an example of good concepts but bad application and support. Same with Tyler Variax. Great concept until you have to have a vol pot or switch replaced and you have to send it back to Tyler for repair.

@@jamesc6137 My intent isn't to dissuade you from buying this if it is going to fill a need for you playing live. It's a great gtr. Just go into it with realistic longterm expectations. If it serves you well for 10 yrs, then breaks, parts are obsolete...you got your $ out of it. It's never going to be vintage collectable. I work with a musician that tours Internationally n his fav gtr is a Godin hybrid. When I had to repair it Godin needed a pic of the part to see if it was compatible with parts they had in a dusty bin. That was best case scenario n client was super happy.

Thx for the breakdown. I’m not a gigging guitarist or anywhere close. I know I don’t need this this type of guitar. I think it’s interesting, has good weight, and some versatility. Looks good to. But I’m going to continue being satisfied with my am strat. I know it will always have parts available.

I have a feeling this will be much better supported by Fender than Gibson could ever hope to provide... Gibson is barely hanging on by a thread both financially and in the public opinion. Meanwhile Fender is only gaining support from people it seems. The overall popularity and acceptance of the acoustasonic line tells me this won't be a flash in the pan here today gone tomorrow guitar. In fact, it might become a mainstay if they create multiple price points for this thing. Right now it's an American Custom Shop only build at or near $2,000... If they come out with a $700 mexican, or an even cheaper squire variant, watch these things FLY off racks...

Have watched it over a hundred times just to see Kenny set that on fire . On the other hand being a strat lover I cant think of anything else other than a strat. Other than that I think it's a pretty decent stuff to try out.

Just bought the natural, impressive unplugged sound also! Best thing about it is sitting handy to play without amp.

WOW - While everyone seemed to be watching/listening to Johnny Lang (who is awesome) I was hijacked by Kenny while driving through Florida after midnight.Caught him on the radio when he was about 18,I was channel surfing and there is this freakin' guitar sound coming out of my radio.I immediately thought of SRV (maybe some obscure recording) - nope, KWS wow.I have a left-handed Acoustisonic Tele it's great but I always been a Strat guy !

Great playing, but struggle with concept of this guitar a bit. I play in a duo and have recently gone back to playing an electric, so this should be a good sell for me. But alas, it has to be either or. I suspect this will go the same way a lot of other hybrids have, aka the Taylor T5. Godin do them as well. Hey, I may be wrong.
