He should bring Lambeer and Rashad as co hosts
Yo Mad Max was a beast...glad to see him shooting the breeze with players
Grew up watching 90s rockets. Funnest team to watch ever, and Vernon Maxwell is a Houston legend. For both good and bad reasons 😂. I hope he's doing well today.
Kenny the Jet and Mad Max was a helluva backcourt! CLUTCH CITY BABY
Awesome. Ready to hear mad max stories!!
This was much needed! Now we need Robert Horry, Sam Cassell, Mario Ellie, Rudy, and Hakeem to join the show.
I remember dude from his days at Univ. of Florida. I loved Max. I wish the Lakers back then had a player like him. Good stuff.
Really good that Vernon lets people talk about the 1995 bad ending for him. Makes Max look better in the end

It was a bad ending, too. I can understand Max's frustration. Just got off a championship win and then you are basically benched after a trade and your spot taken. Normally in scenarios like that, he would have been traded out. I don't know if they attempted to deal him in that Drexler trade, but I would think so. Not saying I would have handled the situation with grace, but he basically quit the team when that trade happened. Tough spot to be in.

@@morecowbell235according to Horry max was supposed to be part of the Portland deal with otis for clyde but Portland didn't want him because that was the city where max went into the stands to hit a fan.
He interviewed players that can hoop!!!!! Kenny Smith, Popeye, matrix, Craig hodges!!!!!!!! I absolutely love the people he gets... I hope CHRIS GATTLING is next!!!!!!!!!!
Mad Props to you Mad Max. I was a lil kid when you won the Chips in H Town. Til this day y'all are my Heroes in the Basketball game. Hollering from Michoacan Mexico
I used to worry that "Mad Max" would get kicked out of the League and 8 Balled as an "Angry Black Man". I'm glad I was wrong.
Vernon Maxwell on a podcast is a must listen. He was probably one of the greatest Florida Gator B-Ballers of all time. He got screwed by UF. I'm happy to see him on MaXed Out.

he used them to get a job playing basketball
This is what weve been waiting on Mad Max podcast
Lived in Htown during both championships. .50 cent drafts at Bennigans for 2 years! Max was the boss of that crew. Fearless.
In 93, 94, 95…. I was so pissed at the stores cause I could never find Maxwell jerseys…. They always had Dream, Thorpe, Cassel, Horry, etc etc…. I had all those jerseys, but never could find a Maxwell 😔

Great to see Mad Max! Will be tuning in!
Mad Max was probably the best 2 way gaurd in the league behind MJ but they wouldn't let him do his thing for some reason. Big props to Mad Max

I use to own a maxwell jersey and I lived in Houston during his tenure. I think you are being a little generous putting him at #2. Cmon, clyde, latrell Spreewell, Joe dumars, Allen houston, mitch Richmond, Eddie Jones, nick Anderson, Kobe and arguably reggie miller(only because his defense wasn't on par with his offense). All the others made all stars and all nba defensive teams. Vernon was too inconsistent, love the dude but he was either hot or cold. He was basically the John starks of the western conference.

@@jlobiafra It wasn't that they were better players. It was that Max couldn't be relied on because he would go from 0 to 125 in a heartbeat

@@donaldtillman4351 keeping control of your emotions is part of the game. And no vernon is still not better than any of the players I mentioned. Like I said I was a big fan
This is so good!!
One good thing about having an outrageous and unpredictable team-mate like Vernon is,you never know what he's gonna do or say. LOL.
Vernon Maxwell was a absolutely a DOG! When he got hot , he was as unstoppable as anyone! Loved Him!
Vern is a good dude. When he played for the Sixers, He was on the floor shooting and i called him over. He came over and said Vern, if you score 30 tonight, 40's on me. He said ok, im going to remember that. Talked with me and my teammates for about 3 min
Man I love this. Great great team.
I am a big time rockets fan and loved some mad max. I seen him hit shots that I've never seen another player hit. Falling out of bounds, truly a gifted player.

before the games he would take jump shots from just inside half court and he'd make most of them
I have the original one definitely a nice piece. I wore it a couple days ago but it definitely doesn’t get the wrist time it deserves. However I love that when I am ready to wear it it’s just grab and go.
Used to see Max all the time in HTOWN! Always had an entourage...of honeys!
One of my favorite Rockets!!!
I fuckin love this for him. This is dope.
Mad Maxx is what Stephen Jackson wants to be
❤❤❤JESUS BLESS MAX❤❤❤JESUS BLESS KENNY ❤❤❤
I remember once in the playoffs during their championship run, crunch time, Vernon got in Hornacek's face before Horny shot his free throws. A high % shooter. He gave him those crazy Deebo eyes and said something nasty to him, 2 inches from his face. He missed both free throws lmao
Love y'all PPB
This is good stuff. Love my 90s rockets and any stories come out, I’m listening
Yep…I gotta get these true stories that we all want to hear from a Warrior! 🎉
Why no one ever talk about Otis Thorpe,? He had a big hand in winning the first chip. Da-am good player.

ive been commenting on OT lately, they fucked him over as well. Rockets so desperate to win they'd push out their own folks
My childhood heros. Clutch City Forever!
Sam Cassell aka Golem persona seems like a mixing of The Jet and Mad Max. Yall had a squad. Otis Thorpe is slept on big time.
Is the game where Kenny is talking about is game 1 of the playoffs vs the Jazz?

Man tell them put some respect on y’all name, quiet in the room it’s 2 legends talking
If Max had stayed they would have beat Seattle in 96💯

No, the rockets had no power forward. Horry was not a true power forward. The sonics had Kemp, Sam Perkins, and detleph shcrempf all could play the four.

Max, have some of your former teammates from UF come on?
I'm going to say that if Phoenix had .Mad Max instead of Majerle they beat Chicago in the Finals because MJ wouldn't have averaged 40 something in the Finals

they had no one who could even slow him down.
Y did Max rock the bald head if he didn’t have to??? I always assumed his hairline was gone when he was in the league

Crazy people go bald by choice
🚀🚀
Not only was he a killer on the court but off the court as well(potentially) .... Players actually would back down from him because he really would of come after you outside the court to the death, and he didn't care
It was Clyde drexler tho
@joepermenter7228

Nobody considers how crucial Thorpe and Maxwell were to locker room chemistry because Dream and Clyde were college teammates. They had a gaping hole at the four and suddenly 4 plausible sg's. 2 of which were borderline all-stars. 1 of which could lose their shit at any given moment. Who the hell did anybody expect a head coach to give the fourth quarter to when technicals and free throws could win games?
gonna need somebody to color grade this.
He’s seems to forget the time Hakeem “The dream” Olajuwon smacked the sh*t out of ole Vernon.
Get Mj on
Clyde Drexler was better for Houston
I legit thought Rudy Tomjonavich was and had been dead for a while
