Angels Calling // My Dad: Honestly this is one of the best songs of 2020 by far. The chorus is so beautiful, that beginning verse and lyrics are emotional as fuck and so good. It’s very straight forward but the delivery, beat, cadence and just everything about it is so good. Those lyrics really hit home. The second chorus that comes in is even better and hits harder after knowing how he actually feels in the verse. And that switch up to this laid back and slower beat and flow is phenomenal. I love what he’s telling us on here and it fits perfectly in the song. These lyrics are just emotional and well thought out. The songwriting on this album is clever as fuck. He’s really like a street poet. 10/10

I see a lot of people comparing him to other artists but in my eyes he is his own person. This album radiates nothing but raw emotions from one soul and I think it’s amazing. This is a top tier album that needs more recognition. I literally listen to it everyday because it just resonates so well with my soul.

"My Dad" really delivers Kenny's feelings towards how hard his dad worked to give him and his family the living they needed to stay stable. I genuinely love the beat and the language used in this song that gives it the sentimental feeling I always feel whenever I have it running through my airpods. It really reminds me of my own father, that has always been hard-working his entire life and has always found a way through hard times even if it costed him many sleepless nights, I really don't know where I'd be today without my dad. He's always pushed me to become a better person and I know one day the energy he has always put in will eventually do him well whenever he retires. This song is def a favorite and I'm glad I was fortunate enough to find an artist as melodic and talented as Kenny Mason is. 🙏

This shit is just so beautiful. Like the first time I heard it I knew it was good but it wasn't super impressive. Still I could still hear how much attention he paid to the song construction and lyricism so I decided to listen to the whole album. After my 500th listen this shit is just so beautiful. It reminds me of how Andre 3k, Kanye, J cole/kendrick, Jay Electronic, Michael Jackson/Hov (shout out to 22 another great song) , ElzHi, Eminem and others of that caliber make my feel.
