My theory is after the events of V8, society restarted, and evolved again. Hence the sort of backtrack of style. Remnants of V8's events still linger, and perhaps they see 'Zemetekile' as a hero, and since the person in the mech is also a hero, they reference themselves as Zemetekile. I might have got some stuff wrong and i basically have no evidence that this is true, this is just what i think :)

(i know this is 5 months late sorry) considering that in v8, there was the lyric "Hey! Zemetekile, bring us where we say" i get the feeling that maybe it just refers to the vehicle that might have become iconic in the area, and this could be kind of "now im feeling so fly like a g6" or something (that's the best comparison i could think of XP). i do like ur take on this though!

bro with those beatboxing skills you could make a great mod! there have been many mods that came out whilst you were gone, but i'll just name the best ones: express (themed around trains and horror) piege (based on a song by a loopstation beatbox musician named saro) the last day (based on the incredibox unreleased album track with the same name) mechanic + bonfire (both electronic themed) the tomfoolery (a joke mod made by the same guy that created travis) travis bonus 1 (self explanitory) the list goes on and on, it truly has been a year for incredimods!

Theory: V9 takes place a few decades, maybe even hundreds of years after V8. Legends of the Choir guy (maybe he was named Zemetekile) or the ship Zemetekile who saved the city got to the guy in the mech and he does look up to Zemetekile as a hero

This is the perfect usage of mic. You don’t talk over the song so much that we can’t hear it. Thanks for doing it right 👍

I made a theory quite a wgile back in some comment section that Zemetekile is this hero and now represents hope for the dystopia protag. so "Zemetekile bring us where we say" which was previously thought to be the ship, is now hope represented by a hero. BUT! My new theory since in this bonus it says; "Makula, K.O." Is that the comic or whatever this guy is from is still ongoing as of dystopia, and it's being run by the cumulor/pyramid/shadow gov, etc. To say Makula, the rebel leader, is evil and a monster. But that's just a theory, an outlandi-an incredetheory!
