This song was written by the lead guitar/banjo player of 'Diamond Rio'. Pam Tillis sang the background vocals.

My parents held hands to this song. Me and my girl hold hands to this song. It's simply one of the best songs ever written, not just country. And I thank god kenny was the man who sang it and released it.

My boyfriend said this was our song when we first started dating. That was 3 years ago and now hes my husband

It's such a shame Kenny doesn't play this, "She's Got It All", etc. in concert anymore. They're the ones that got him started, and I bet there are a lot of longtime fans that are saddened... P.S. Pam Tillis singing backup is a treat, as she's always been one of my favorite female 90's country singers!

Yeah, it seems like he mostly plays stuff from the No Shoes, No Shirt era up to now. Besides the two songs already mentioned, it would also be nice if he'd sing "When I Close My Eyes," "A Chance," "That's Why I'm Here," and "You Had Me From Hello" again. Surprisingly, I've seen him performing "What I Need To Do" (another one of my favorites) on some fairly recent footage of his shows.

One of my favorite country songs of all time. When I was young, I watched the Top 15 Country Countdown each week, and this song was #1 so many times. I cried at it, and I adore it to this day.

Thank you Kenny for such a perfect song. My wife recently had a stroke and the doctor told me to get her family here so they can say goodbye. Thankfully she survived. she can't speak properly and can't use her right hand. She cant be left alone yet because of it, but we are still together. I only hope I can go back to work soon so we can stay in our home.

I just love this song, bc it goes with the way that my life is right now: I just got engaged to the love of my life and she cries happy tears when I play it for her. I sort of cry too!!❤❤

Unfortunately, I'm sorry to hear you lost your first love but it happens to us all at one time or another and your upbeat attitude is perfect. I as most of us will go through several of these and it seems like the end of the world but sometimes it's just not meant to be and in the end everyone usually will end up with the one they need to be and no hard feelings to the ones before and just great memories. Great attitude!

Me once, but sour people ruined my happy, excited vibe when they insisted I sit down cause they couldn’t see. The second time I bought tickets, I took a nap before the concert, woke up and hauled ass to the venue only to hear the closing song while I was still in the parking lot 🤣I laugh now but it really sucked back then, lol

this song has so much meaning! when you finally find the person thats 'the one' and that you can only feel those feelings towards..this song describes that exactly. real love and how would you live without it if you lost it. i finally found that love! but lost it:'( it only took me 22yrs(as i was 22 when i met them) and i guess it sounds like a cliche but its true that old saying you just dont know how you lived before without them and dont know how youre gonna live life forward without them.. love this song though!
