Truly a great man of history. Unfortunately he lived and fought in the shadow of Nelson Mandela. I spent the first ten years of my life in Zambia. It was an honour to see the great man visit Livingstone and to see him wave his white hanky while we stood under the mango grove on Main Road. Now I think it's named Falls Road or Musi o Tunya Road.

God Bless You, Dr. Kaunda. I am tearing up, but I find solace in the fact that you led a wonderful, productive and, above all, righteous life. At a time when it was too easy to sell out to the big Western corporations and neo-colonial masters, you stayed true to your convictions, remaining an honest man who was dedicated to his people. Very few have done that. Only the bravest and the most righteous! When I see the clip, I remember when Kaunda went on a hunger strike for several days until Julius Nyerere visited him in prison and brought him some biscuits. I was not there but I imagine, Nyerere telling him something like, " bro, we went through a lot trying to fix our continent, and you're not going to die in this fashion on my watch! Now eat and if you don't, I am not going back to Tanzania", and he probably replied with " Fine, Mwalimu, but tell this people to stop harassing me"!

I just heard on this great man who inspired the whole of Africa especially when most African countries were in a desperate thirst to uproot colonialism, i equally mourn with you all Zambians because it is in your land this great man emerged, Above all he was true patriot to his beloved continent Africa where he fought shoulder to shoulder along with my national hero Mw.Julius nyerere. Indeed they remain our heroes and true symbol of our freedom and independence we enjoy today. May god bless the whole of Africa for the song that when listened delivers strong hope and passion to our people. I myself don't understand the language used but my feelings deep me into it and enjoys so much of its rhythm.

Kenneth Kaunda is a great Pan Africanist who wrestled Zambia from imperialist colonial rule and led her with dignity and love. Naturaly as has happened across Africa, when a leader is unrelenting to "the real" Western "democracy", ie open your gates to the plundering west, foreign aid is stopped, media is manipulated, which ultimately results in unrest and eventual ovethrow. Then bingo. The west wins. But where has that got Zambia???. Long live KK.

We grew up knowing peace because of your tenacity and your love for the people. You inspired a lot of us. REST IN PEACE
Grew up in Zambia. Have a signed autograph by H.E. Kenneth Kaunda: "Keep on smiling and always remember to serve the other". It took me years to finally figure what he meant to say. I LOVE this man!

One of the world’s great leaders. Up there with Mandela
What a great leader you were KK! MYSRIP🙏🙏🙏
I’m from katembe and I love this song

Happy birthday 🎈 our Super Ken...we love you..
I am very proud that I was named after this great soul by my mother way back in 1965....
I Stil love u Dady of our nation zambia. U still the best and u Stil deserve the best as u Stil living. Long live Dady k k ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😍😍😍

We have indeed lost a great leader who's 'humanism' policies touched everyone, such a distinguished Statesman he was ... The 18 -19 years I spent in Zambia were the best years of my life. May the Almighty grant him eternal peace and bless the people of Zambia to whom we will remain indebted !🙏🙏🙏
KK one of the greatest leaders of Africa, sacrificed so much for the greater good of Africa. If only we had 100 KKs in Africa we would prevail.
OG vocals and instruments ❤💯💥👌
This great man will never be forgotten. A great symbol of Africa.
Kaunda was a great states man.He really meant what he was singing.
Very sad to hear of the passing of Kenneth Kaunda. His name will forever be synonymous with independence. You cannot think of Zambia, without remembering his leadership. RIP.
This is the original national anthem of Zambia
the best KK did was to unite zambia as a one people...this still lives today. Really that was good work, but like anyone he had his dark side...believe me

2023, remembering the son of the African soil K.K.🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲🇿🇲 💪💪One Zambia One Nation.🙌
It is a generation gone the way of the world. We can only say thanks to them forever more.
So sad I only knew about this song after he has passed on. Why does it take us so long to realise beautiful things about fellow human beings? May his beautiful soul rest in peace. Much love from Zimbabwe
Trulley Legend and leader was born
I love rhe central idea to pieces . The humanism ideal of this pan-africanist and father of the nation cannot Be mistaken .God bless .Long life and Peace to Papa K . K
Kenneth kaunda The brave would perish rather than to surrender, his courage constitute a command even to the king of Kings, He who will be counted among the best on the day of our Resurrection, And we wish to be dancing side by side with him because his life will continue to give us a new meaning and a new awakening as Africans of Africa and Africans in the diaspora
let us maintain one Zambia one nation
Oh the memories. Thank you for posting this! Our family lived in Zambia for four years in the early 70s (the first 9 months in Lusaka and then we moved to Kabwe). My Dad bought me a '45 single with the Zambia National Anthem on the A-side, and this song on the B-side. I still have it, too!
