One of my earliest memories was playing with this beast. I remember always putting Vader inside it though, probably because my older brother didn’t let me play with his Boba haha. Great video as always, man. 👍🏻

It took me a few months to find an decent looking and complete Slave 1 with no yellowing and all the original stickers still attached. It's an awesome toy.

I never actually had a slave I as a kid. Ive had plenty as an adult collector though. I know it won't apply to you but last year when I got "The Vintage Collection" one, it was so nice I actually ended up selling my others because I knew they'd never be on display again. Great review

Great toy! I never had one as a kid but got one early in adulthood, although I had generous friends as a kid who let me have a lot of time with this toy, so I got to know it. This included the FIRST EVER Han in carbonite "figure" which was a HUGE selling point to me. How many figures did I freeze in ice hoping to achieve this? I got better when I added food coloring to the water before I froze it, but it still wasn't the same. And it made a mess. Still an awesome ship and one of my most loved prizes today even though I was not its original owner.

The “Han popsicle” was a popular move by many kids back in those days. Imagination is everything they say.

Sometime back in 80’s had this ship but no memory really how l obtained it,it was missing its ramp and back ship wall panel , it didn’t matter it was still cool to hav one ,Now to day l hav it resealed in its box along with many other vtg SW vehicles & play sets.

Sealed toys in the box are pretty sweet. But I like to see my toys out of the box and displayed. However, in a perfect world, I would have 2 of everything to do just that. 1 in box, 1 to display.

The Slave1 ist with the snowspeeder my Favorit Ship in the Star Wars VintageToy Line. Your Slave looks very good 👍. I'm happy to say I have two complete ones with BIC and one in the original Box. A third is in Restoration. Want to make a Custom Version with Repro Stickers and maybe with Cockpit sind Enginelights. It's good to have complete ones with BIC and original Ramp. If you need an HIC or the Ramp IT cost a Lot of money.... Happy galactic Eastern Thomas

​@@Necron-ez2cc I still kept mine too, very worn out since I played with them. I quit after Empire since I got into computer games. Then in 1995, I started buying the new figures again.

I absolutely loved this vehicle when I was a kid. It never bothered me that it didn't have electronic sounds. Plus it basically came with an action figure which never happened. Although looking at it now, I think I was putting Boba Fett in the cockpit upside-down! Keep up the great videos!

Another great video GQJ.. I always thought that the Han in Carbonite that came with Slave I was the best vintage likeness of Harrison Ford.. Such a great ship too.

Another solid review, brother. The handle on the ship is pretty ingenious and doesn't take much at all from the design, but really adds to the play value.

Thanks, bud! The handle is a smooth functional aspect that elevates the cool factor of that ship. Absolutely. Every kid had or wanted that toy growing up. It just makes sense for so many reasons besides looking cool.

I make a restoration kit for these. It includes the ramp cover and the carbonite if you are interested.
