Kendrick Perkins explains beef with Steph Curry during the 2018 NBA Finals | Hoop Streams

Спорт

Cassidy Hubbarth, Kendrick Perkins, and Amin Elhassan remember Perk’s time on the bench for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2015 and 2018. After debating about Andre Iguodala and LeBron James as 2015 Finals MVP candidates, Perk explains why he and Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry had beef during Game 2 of the 2018 Finals.

Play D and hit open shots. All Iggy did was do what he was supposed to. There was no great pressure on Iggy. The Cavs whole defensive plan was to shut down and deny Steph. Part of their defensive play was to use Iggy's man to help shadow Steph. With all the attention on Steph, Steph still performed. @4:46 I love how the two guys next to Perk try and drag their legs in even further, and Perk casually sits with his legs almost on the court. Don't tell me you did not see Curry walking towards you. He didn't stick his feet out, but he made sure curry would walk right into his legs without even knowing it. On top of that, if you see a player walking backward, you relax your legs and make sure the guy does not trip. Look at Perkin's left leg, he holds it firm and even pushes back a little bit. Just watch it, it's subtle, but it's there.

Both of those years, the player guarding LeBron got it, you know why? They are defending the best player on the opposing team and they are also scoring at the same time.

I love and respect Andre Iguodala as an NBA player but Stephen Curry should have won 2015 Finals MVP b/c of his amazing performance. Also, Steph should have won 2018 FMVPas well b/c in - game #2, Steph made 9 3-pointers in which he made an NBA record. Therefore, in game#3 Steph did not shoot well b/c he was out of energy but in game#4. Steph made 37 points. I heard a person who voted for FMVP said that they only give that trophy to the tallest talented player. That is wrong and attitudes in the FMVP voting committee should change that mindset.

The fact that steph didn’t win finals mvp because he had 1 1/2 off games in a 6 game series is disrespectful. After those bad first 6 quarters he averaged like 33,6,6 and didn’t get finals MVP because he was “locked up”. Only steph haters believe he didn’t deserve FMVP in 2015 and that’s fact
